SERVICES

Welcome to alternative approach

There is growing recognition that complementary therapies can play an important role in our healthcare.

We offer a range of holistic treatments designed to gently heal mind, body and spirit. Among the treatments we offer are aromatherapy, Indian champissage, Raindrop therapy, Japanese & Indian facials, a variety of massage techniques, reiki II and reflexology. Clients can also choose 2 or 3 therapies of their choice, combining them to suit their needs.

Please note that for some therapies a full consultation is required before commencement of treatment.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the systematic use of essential oils in holistic treatments to improve physical and emotional well-being. Essential oils, extracted from plants, possess distinctive therapeutic properties, which can be utilised to improve health and prevent disease. The oils work directly on the chemistry of the body, via the skin and bloodstream.

Massage

Massage involves different types of touch, pressure or flowing movements applied to the skin and underlying tissues to release muscular tension and pain, relax the body and enhance wellbeing.

Massage is often used to alleviate stress and aid relaxation, to relieve pain and to facilitate healing from injury. It's a part of many cancer care programmes and is also used for premature babies, infants, young children and older people. It also plays an important part in sports therapy.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a form of 'alternative' or 'complementary' medicine and involves a method of treatment using massage to reflex areas found in the feet. These reflex areas correspond to all the parts of the body and are arranged in such a way as to form a map of the body in the feet.

For each person the application and the effect of the therapy is unique. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and by working on these points the reflexologist can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body.
