Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are based on the theory that energy flows have impact on our individual emotions and that blocked energy systems are the cause for the expression of negative emotions.
In EFT, practitioners use the fingertips to stimulate specific energy points around the upper body whilst the individual thinks or concentrates on negative feelings that they are storing.
According to EFT, negative experiences and thoughts can have a blocking or negative effect on our energy systems which in turn produces negative thoughts and emotions. EFT is used on individuals who may be suffering the effects of trauma and abuse, individuals with phobia, panic and anxiety, expression, addiction and more. The technique helps to free the and heal the energy areas around the body, thereby aiding the healing process. EFT can also help treat physical issues.
EFT techniques are gentle and individuals are given a number of take-home techniques to work with outside of formalised sessions, to be used as necessary.
