About Us

YogaFever was formed by Catherine Kelleher as a result of her passion for yoga and a true belief that Yoga can help people in all walks of life.

Catherine has been practising Yoga for over 10 yrs. Catherine first began practising with Yogacharini Kalavathi Devi in Pontypridd in 1997. Following which, Catherine went on to study the 12 month ‘Yoga: Step by Step’ Course in the Gitananda school of Rishi-Culture Astanga Yoga – also with Kalavathi Devi. The course culminated in a month-long stay at the Ananda Ashram in Pondicherry, India. During this stay – the student experienced complete absorption into Ashram life under the direction of Dr Ananda Bhavanani. This exposure to the yogic way of life was u ltimately to steer Catherine towards teaching in the hope that she may encourage others to seek out yoga and the benefits it can offer to all.

Catherine has since undertaken courses in many styles of yoga and studied under teachers such as Matthew Sweeney, Shiva Rea and Dr Ruth Gilmore. Most recently, Catherine completed the ‘Hot Yoga Teacher Training Program’ through the YogaHaven training school based in the UK. This involved an exceptional standard of teaching from Allie Hill (Director/Owner of Yogahaven) and Toni Roberts (Senior Yoga Teacher). Catherine currently offers the only hot yoga classes in Wales.

Catherine previously had an extensive career in corporate environments including LloydsTSB, CCT and 118118, rising to Senior Management positions. However, Catherine’s love of yoga led her to set-up Yogafever Ltd to focus on bringing the benefits of yoga to individuals, groups, businesses and sportspeople across Wales.

Catherine teaches a non-dogmatic style of yoga drawing on many different yoga traditions. Catherine is a Yoga Alliance UK Registered Teacher.

Yoga at Work can help improve Wellbeing at Work

Many companies are seeing the benefit of yoga, recognizing that relaxed workers are healthier and more creative.

PriceWaterhouseCoopers, reporting in 2008, found considerable evidence from over 50 UK-based case studies that health and well-being programmes have a positive impact including reduced sickness absence, reduced staff turnover, reduced resource allocation, increased employee satisfaction and higher productivity.

We offer a tailored approach to suit the needs of your workplace - this might include:

  • 45-60min sessions on the premises which are optional for staff and are usually scheduled pre/post work or during a lunchtime

  • 45-60min sessions for individual departments that run as team building exercises either as a one off or on a regular basis. These can be tailored towards the team - working in partners is particularly effective

  • Having a session as an ice-breaker at the start of training days or as a part of leadership courses

  • Having a slot at 'Away Days' or 'Offsites' to facilitate stress removal, clarity of mind and team building

Yoga For Sports

Yoga makes a perfect companion for athletes of all sports. Yoga can increase core strength, muscular flexibility and range of motion.

It increases endurance in athletes as well as encouraging greater body awareness and mind focus. It also helps with developing a better breathing technique. So, if you'd like to attend a class, have a session designed for you or a team - then get in touch. We'd love to work with you.
What can an athlete expect from a typical class?

You can expect to work every muscle in the body from the neck down to the toes, with emphasis on the core. You will be challenged both physically and mentally in order to maintain concentration.

Private Yoga Tuition in Cardiff

Class situations are very useful for beginners or for those able to have a strong practise at home.

They can also be useful for building a group support or collective energy. However, one-on-one or small group tuition can be very beneficial for those that want more insight into what yoga can offer or to develop their practise further.

Yoga Fever offers sessions based on the following rate:

  • £35 per hour for a one-on-one session

  • £20 per hour per person for 2 individuals

  • £15 per hour per person for 3 in a group
Fees can be reduced if sessions are purchased in blocks. Please feel free to get in touch should you have any questions or if you would like to discuss further.
