Ellie has considerable experience in working with clients dealing with life challenges, whether, physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual in nature. Her counselling work over 16 years has involved bereavement, loss and change, relationship and family problems, anxiety, stress and depression, work-related issues, low confidence/self-esteem and general poor health and well-being.
She has also worked as a healer alongside her counselling practice and initially practising as a spiritual healer before training in Reiki, eventually becoming a Reiki Master Teacher in 1997. Reiki is a gentle, simple treatment that relaxes and heals on all levels of being. Originally an Eastern healing system, derived from ancient texts and practices, it came to the West in the late 1930’s. Since that time, Reiki has gradually become one of the most well known and accepted complementary healing approaches in the world.
Receiving a Reiki treatment should always be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Clients lie or sit comfortably, fully clothed, as the Reiki Therapist transmits this warm, healing energy through light touch, either on, or just above the body. Reiki is usually experienced as warming, tingling and extremely comforting.
So, whether you are stressed out from work demands, suffering from depression/anxiety, have physical pain or disease, or you just feel curious about it; Reiki has something to offer everyone.
