SERVICES

I have been exploring many healing traditions searching for purpose and looking for ways of finding wholeness and happiness in my life. I came across many wonderful teachers and methods that helped me to improve my life and led me to greater understanding of myself. One of such methods was through massage. Our bodies have their own unique language and if we really learn to listen and to understand it, we will get closer to our true nature. Our bodies communicate with us all the time and it is our choice to listen to what they have to say or to ignore it. All unresolved problems, emotions are being locked there and if we ignore them, they can create illness. By allowing ourselves the time to unwind, to create space just for ourselves we will find benefits not only on the physical level, but also on emotional and spiritual levels. A massage may have a tremendous healing effect on your life, as it had on mine. So, why not give it a go?….

Holistic Massage

Holistic comes from the Greek word ‘holos’ meaning whole. The holistic approach to treatment takes into account a person’s whole being – mind, body and spirit. Massage is one of the oldest forms of therapy. The main aim of massage is to help the body heal itself and to increase health and well-being. Massage is one of the best known remedies for stress. Reducing stress gives you more energy and provides you with a more positive outlook on life, and as a result reduces probability of injury and illness. It improves general health and promotes deep relaxation and vitality as well as relief from aches, pains or stiffness.

Touch is a very important part of human contact. It helps us feel connected and loved by those around us. By allowing ourselves the time to unwind, to create space just for ourselves we benefit not only on the physical but also on emotional and spiritual levels.

By working the skin, soft tissues and muscles, massage has an effect on all the major and minor systems of the body.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is a holistic therapy. It is a traditional Indian technique treating the upper back, neck, shoulders, face and scalp. It is based on alternative medicine principles. It works on physical and psychological level. It releases blocked energy that builds up in our bodies which later causes health problems. By massaging the head and shoulders, energies will become rebalanced and a general feeling of relaxation will be achieved It is said that the massage works on the higher energy centers or ‘chakras’. It is believed that there are seven main chakras. In the Western medicine chakras are explained as the system that governs the secretion of hormones within our body. In Indian society the chakras relate to the emotional and spiritual aspects being linked to our aura or energy field. Chakras are energy wheels which link our energy field to our physical body. When the chakras are blocked, illness is the result.

Indian head massage works on areas affected by mental and emotional stress. Stress and anxiety are two of the major health issues of modern-day living and both can be improved through Indian head massage. Stress affects the whole body so many health problems can arise. By easing stress through massage of the upper body, we can have a direct positive influence to the rest of the body. The other very important factor in relieving stress is just being touched as it stimulates our nerves and leaves us feeling nurtured and cared for.

The treatment is a safe and effective therapy that can help treat a variety of conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression and mental tension. It promotes blood circulation and lymphatic drainage to the upper part of the body.
