WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?

Reflexology is a complementary therapy widely accepted in the UK and recognised by the NHS, many GP’s and hospices. It is a gentle, non-invasive therapy which involves applying pressure to the reflex points on the hands or feet to help heal the whole person not just the prevailing symptoms.

It may help improve blood circulation, balance organs and glands and ease stress and tension.

Reflexology is a great way to unwind, restoring the body’s natural balance.

The purpose of reflexology is not to treat or diagnose for any specific medical disorder, but to promote a healthy body and mind in the same way as an exercise or diet regime.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM REFLEXOLOGY?

Reflexology can help people with a range of conditions and is suitable for any age. A course of treatment is often recommended with follow-up sessions to maintain health and well-being.

HOW WILL REFLEXOLOGY BENEFIT ME?

Reflexology can treat a whole range of conditions including:

• pregnancy
• back pain
• infertility
• arthritis
• sleep disorders
• hormonal imbalances
• migraine
• digestive disorders
• stress
• general relaxation

Maternity and Fertility Reflexology

Maternity Reflexology

Pregnancy is a very exciting time for a woman, when the body goes through great changes. Maternity Reflexology helps mother and baby adapt to these changes by nurturing the body, mind and spirit. It may be of benefit to start this at preconception, then throughout the pregnancy and continue after the baby has been born. Reflexology is a safe, holistic therapy which may help the mother feel more energized and well balanced, maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Treatments may help reduce labour time and may shorten recovery time after the birth.

Maternity Reflexology may help with the symptoms of :
Back pain, constipation, headaches, swollen feet, heartburn, morning sickness and insomnia

Reflexology for Fertility

This may reduce stress levels enabling you to feel more calm, harmonized and rebalanced. It may help your body and mind achieve optimum health prior to conception.
The relaxing effect of this therapy may help ease any tension you may have if things do not go according to plan. Regular treatments may enable your body and its’ systems to function normally, regulating hormones.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A TREATMENT?
