Helping you with your aching necks and shoulders, bad backs, sporting and everyday injuries, anxiety and sleeping difficulties.

I has been a Sports and Massage Therapist for nearly 17 years now, working with the young and the not so young. My oldest client to date is 91 and came to me with a stiff neck. He was concerned that his sore neck was affecting his golf swing. After a few treatments, his fellow golfers were complimenting him on his improved swing – it’s never too late!

I believe in working together with your treatment. I will give exercises and guidance . If you are happy for me to contact you, usually via email or text, them I am available for questions, support and encouragement.

I work regularly with pregnant mums throughout their pregnancy, helping with the aches and pains of pregnancy, exercises and relaxation.

Testimonials

I first went to Sue as I was taking a college class where she was the teacher teaching massage techniques. I was looking for a Sports Therapist in the area so decided to try her. I was immediately impressed by her knowledge and the time she took to find out about me, my lifestyle and my exercise regime. I have treatments not just when I have an injury but as a regular part of my exercise regime. When I do have an injury Sue takes time to assess the injury and help identify the cause. She will not only treat but advise exercises to do to help speed up recovery.

I have no hesitation in recommending Sue to friends for treatment. All those I have recommended to her have been positive in their feedback and have benefited from treatment from her.

I feel like everything has gently been put back in place. And I had a good swim yesterday. I'm just about to do some of your stretches too. Looking forward to my next massage! B
1) A friend recommended Sue after trying to find a good physio treatment for my frozen shoulder sustained whilst skiing

2) My shoulder was locked up badly and causing sleepless nights making me seek private help outside the NHS system

3) within the first two sessions there was a marked difference and the pain started to reseed and I was getting increased flexibility in my shoulder movement .

4) in my opinion it was money well spent and accelerated the healing process after 6 sessions of physio and a plan of exercises to do at home I could get a better nights sleep with a marked difference in the movement of my shoulder coupled with a lot less pain , I would recommend Sue' physio regime in case of sports injury to any of my friends for the future.

I have been with Sue from the beginning approximately 15 years ago, even then she was good! Over the years she has gone from strength to strength, always learning something new and putting it into action.
I have really benefited from Sues ministrations, be it reflexology or massage. I always leave feeling heaps better that when I arrived.
Sue is also a good listener, knowing anything I say will go no further than the four walls is really appreciated.
She has helped me in many ways over the years and I am eternally grateful to her.Lib, Wantage

Treatments

Injury and Sports Massage

Whether you have had an accident, a sporting or an over use injury, Sports and massage therapy can help you be free of pain and discomfort. Massage is an excellent treatment for many aches and pains and you will be amazed by the results.

A painful back, tennis elbow, a stiff neck – an endless list, can all be helped with massage, myafasial release and trigger point therapy. There is definitely hope, even if you have been in pain for a long time. I will support you with exercises, trigger point therapy to do at home and regular contact to ensure a great outcome. I will generally use aromatherapy oils to help recovery.

Pregnancy Massage

Early in your pregnancy you can begin to feel aches and pains . Regular massage can really help to ease you through this amazing journey. It can reduce stress, decrease swelling in ankles/legs and arms and help with muscle and joint discomfort. When the choice of medication is limited while pregnant, massage can play a vital role in your well

being. It is comforting and supportive and allows you to be looked after and feel cherished. I can support you with exercises, birthing positions and choices, with your partner .

Reflexology

A great opportunity to be calm, quiet and relax. An hour of peace, to let your worries go and to feel at ease. Reflexology, well known for lowering stress is also helpful with hormonal problems, improves circulation and promotes the natural function of your body.

A natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears and these refer to areas in your body, they correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. Through application of pressure on these reflexes of the feet, reflexology helps to balance the body and improve well being

Baby Massage and Yoga Classes

Baby massage is a wonderful way to nurture deep love and trust between you and your baby. Singing and playing are also vital elements of your special time together, as your baby grows and flourishes.
Touch is known to be one of the most important gifts you can give your baby. Come along and learn to massage your baby, sing some songs and really enjoy a relaxing, fun time, amidst the hurly burly of life with a new baby.

Baby massage has wide ranging benefits for you and your baby. It lowers stress in you both, promotes bonding, improves your baby’s immune system and helps with sleep.

I run classes in sets of four, they take place either at a members home or local venue, at a time to suite you and your group. With your class you receive a spiral bound, laminated booklet of the baby massage and yoga techniques,( including lyrics to the nursery rhymes we sing in class) and a gentle nursery rhyme CD, to play at home or in the car.

Hot Stones Massage

I often use Hot Stone as part of my general massage practice. If however, you would like a Full Body Hot Stone Massage, then drop me an email, or phone. Lovely Hot Stones, warming up your muscles, working deeply into areas of tension, they are the perfect antidote todays busy and hectic lifestyle.
