SERVICES

Welcome to Bodyworks

If you are looking for an experienced therapist with a professional clinic setting conveniently located in the center of Lincoln, then welcome to Bodyworks where you will find excellence in holistic healthcare.

Why have a treatment at Bodyworks?

If you have back, neck or shoulder pain and don't want to take painkillers indefinitely, then please consider having a treatment at Bodyworks. Tony, the owner/therapist at Bodyworks, combines the best of complementary therapies to help you heal naturally.

Your treatment will be tailored to your needs. Treatments often involve a combination of massage and acupuncture treatment. If you are afraid of needles, then don't worry as the benefits of acupuncture can still be accessed with the use of finger pressure or 'acupressure massage' as it is more commonly known.

Which treatment should I have?

Every treatment involves a detailed consultation where we can discuss together your priorities for treatment. Then we can decide to use the therapies that will most effectively address your health issues. Paige has trained in the following therapies:

Acupuncture
Acupressure
Acumassage
Auricular Acupuncture
Cupping/Moxibuxion
TDP lamp therapy
Gua Sha

All massage can include aromatherapy, most acupuncture treatments involve massage, even reflexology treatments are often combined with acupuncture, so as an experienced therapist Paige has an advance tool kit to work with.

How do the therapies work?

While the scientists are still working on understanding the exact mechanism for how some complementary therapies work, research is emerging that shows that these therapies can reduce blood pressure, anxiety, depression, and pain.

Up to 90% of visits to GPs are for stress related complaints, While stress can be a positive force in our lives, much illness today is the result of too much stress. How we cope with stress can determine how healthy and robust we are. If stress becomes too much or lasts for too long, then the body may struggle to return to a balanced state and illness can result.

Some studies estimate that up to 80% to 90% of illness is stress-related. These therapies help lower stress hormones in the blood helping your body to return to a balanced state.

Another good reason to book in....

Relaxation is an art. You might like to practice....

For some, it is a revelation to just lie still without the distractions of normal life for an hour. For others, having a bit of help in learning focused breathing and relaxation leads to an increase in their ability to relax outside of the treatment room. This is an important benefit that I hope all my clients can take away with them after treatment. The very fact that you are focusing on caring for yourself is deeply nourishing and will benefit your health.
