Welcome to British Chen Style Tai Chi College

Our instructors have all trained extensively in the Chen Style Tai Chi system.

We practise the following syllabus:
  • Lao JiaYi Lu (Old Frame)

  • Lao Jia Er lu (Cannon Fist)

  • 18 Form (Chen Zheng Lei's form)

  • Sword

  • Sabre

  • Tai Chi Fan

  • Pushing Hands


  • Our Wild Goose Qigong syllabus covers:
  • 1st 64 - WG1

  • 2nd 64 - WG2

  • Kunlun Bagua Qigong - WG3

  • Tripod and Spiral Qigong - WG4

  • Soft Palms Qigong -WG5

Our beginners Tai Chi classes teach the basic warm up exercises, Silk Reeling Exercises and the first section of the Form. We are friendly and patient, having many years of teaching experience. Why not come and try our classes!
We also have classes for Intermediate and Advanced students.

Our connection with China means that we can offer training trips to China, for students who wish to learn at the source. We can organise training in China for individuals or groups.

We can also offer Chinese Culture trips for those interested in Calligraphy, painting and Chinese music.

QUALIFICATION DETAILS

Sue Johnson is the Principal Instructor of the British Chen Style Tai Chi College. She has practised Chen Style Tai Chi for over 20 years. She has trained in China since 1999 and has studied under both Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang and Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei. She attended the 1st International Advanced Training Course in Handan, China in 1999 and the 3rd International Training Course in Zhengzhou in 2001. Euro Wiral Tai Chi Champion in 1999, Runner up in 2000 and Sword form Gold medalist in 2000, Sue is also the only British instructor to be recommended in Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei's " Wonderful Tai Chi Kung Fu " book which was published in 2001. 2007 Gold Medal winner - Lianyungang International Tai Chi Meeting 2009 Gold Medal winner - Tongzhou International Tai Chi Meeting Sue has practised Wild Goose Qigong since 1990 and is now a student of Dr Bingkun Hu, who has researched Qigong for more than 50 years.
