Welcome to Susie Hudson Counselling
My training was in the relational approach which is a person centred humanistic approach. My approach is integrative and I draw on my skills as is most appropriate and beneficial for the individual client and includes CBT techniques, Stress Management, Brief Solution Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness.
I trained to be a Therapeutic Counsellor at Park Lane College, Leeds in 2001/2002. I used to work for many years as a matrimonial lawyer and have experience of helping people dealing with the trauma of the breakdown of relationships. I am also trained as a Family Mediator. I left the law to train as a Stress Manager and I set up my own practice in 1997 and worked with individuals and groups.
I am a BACP ( British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Accredited Counsellor and I abide by their code of ethics. I am registered with UKRCP (United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).
