About Nicola

Nicola is qualified as a sound therapist and uses sound and music as a therapeutic tool for self reflection and coaching. She runs regular group sound baths, retreats, drumming circles and personal one to one sessions. Most sessions take place in the beautiful, leafy community of Crystal Palace, but she does travel to other areas in London. The aim of Nicola's work is to facilitate a safe space for people to reconnect with their inner roots, rhythm and beauty.

Sound Benefits

Sound affects us on both a physical and psychological level and science is now documenting that everything that exists does so on a vibratory basis.

Sound therapy is a complimentary medicine stemming from the belief that our universe is created through patterns of frequency. Simply put- sound therapy uses harmony and frequency to help us get back into our natural rhythms.

A sound session can be an unforgettable experience for those who seek ways to

de-stress and reflect. Using Tibetan singing bowls, Crystal bowls, Gongs and Percussion. The tones are rich, pure and vibrant, and most sound participants find them deeply relaxing and rejuvenating.

During a Sound Bath you are taken on a sonic journey. Instruments, known for their vibratory and therapeutic frequencies are played around you while you lie down and relax.

Sound Sessions

Soundbath

A soundbath is a beautiful deep meditation experience that uses ancient instruments from around the world that can help you relax and reflect. Using Drums, Tibetan singing bowls, Crystal bowls, Gongs and/ or Percussion. The tones are rich, pure and vibrant, and most sound participants find them deeply relaxing and rejuvenating.

Teacher Treats

Teacher stress can affect various aspects of teacher health and may influence how effective teachers are in the classroom. Last year The Telegraph published results of online survey of 3,500 members of the NASUWT teachers’ union. The survey revealed that 67 per cent of teachers said their job was having an adverse effect on their mental health. A soundbath uses ancient instruments, such as gongs and singing bowls to relax the body. Teacher Treats delivers a relaxing soundbath in the comfort of your school and at the end of the school day. A min of 8 staff must attend.

Womens Drum Circle

Group drumming creates a sense of community and a powerful shared experience. It has been used as a successful team building experience to teach groups to work together, to listen to each other, and to achieve common goals. Group drumming helps to prevent isolation and promotes communication and involvement with the group. Drumming provides a method by which people can hear and be heard, a non-verbal language by which they can express themselves. Lastly, drumming is fun, it releases endorphin's in the human brain that cause feelings of happiness and euphoria.
