Therapies
Acupuncture
According to traditional philosophy, our health is dependent on the body's motivating energy known as Qi (Chee) - moving in a smooth and balanced way through a series of channels beneath the skin.

Fertility Acupuncture
Though there is a growing body of scientific research into its uses, there is, however, little data that conforms to the usual Western medical standards of large scale, double-blind, randomised controlled trials on the human population and, as a result, its efficacy must still be considered to be largely unproven. All of the references made within this website to research into acupuncture need, therefore, to be seen in that context.

Despite this, I remain a strong advocates of its use as part of a co-ordinated approach to supporting the best possible levels of reproductive health.

Acupuncture has a long and successful history in reproductive medicine. It can be used to help boost fertility, to help improve the chances of IVF success, and to prepare the body for conception and pregnancy generally.

Underlying conditions such as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis and irregular cycles can also be treated with Acupuncture. It's also good for relieving stress (which isn't good for fertility) as boosting the flow of energy to the reproductive organs. It can address male fertility issues also.

All the Clinic's acupuncture protocols incorporate a five element approach (which can help on an emotional level), integrated with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). We are officially associated with the Zita West Clinic in London, and based on her early experiences as the pioneer of acupuncture in the NHS, Zita is widely regarded as a world-leading authority on all aspects of its use for promoting fertility and pregnancy and all Associate practitioners are trained in her techniques.

Laser Therapy
Is popularly used for soft tissue injuries, joint conditions, chronic pain, non-healing wounds and ulcers, post-op pain and acupuncture.

Low Level Laser Therapy is the application of red and near infra-red light over injuries or lesions to improve wound / soft tissue healing and give relief for both acute and chronic pain. First developed in 1967, it is now commonly referred to as LLLT.

LLLT is used to: increase the speed, quality and tensile strength of tissue repair; give pain relief; resolve inflammation; improve function of damaged neurological tissue and often used as an alternative to needles for acupuncture.

LLLT can be used instead of needles for acupuncture and is ten times more effective in helping people to quit smoking than patches, gum or hypnotherapy according the results from two NHS trials in Scotland.

The effects of LLLT are photochemical (like photosynthesis in plants). Red and near infrared light can affect cell membrane permeability and aid the production of ATP thereby providing the cell with more energy which in turn means the cell is in optimum condition to play its part in a natural healing process.

The red and near infrared light (600nm-1000nm) commonly used in LLLT can be produced by laser or high intensity LED. The intensity of LLLT lasers and LED's is not high like a surgical laser. There is no heating effect.

A recent clinical study in Switzerland, which was performed on a significant number of patients, showed that wound healing, pain relief and functional recovery of patients treated with LLLT was significantly improved (25%-35%), compared to untreated patients.

Emotional Freedom Technique
Easily accessible and available to everyone. It is a gentle and effective way to work with anxieties, trauma, addictions, serious disease, peak performance and much more. It is one of a range of relatively new Energy Psychology interventions developed from the ancient Chinese meridian energy system.

EFT works on the understanding that negative emotions are caused by disruption in our energy systems and that tapping on points on the body’s meridians can enable us to change the way we feel and think.

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an emotional, needle free version of acupuncture that is based on new discoveries regarding the connection between your body's subtle energies, your emotions, and your health. EFT has been reported successful in thousands of cases covering a huge range of emotional, health and performance issues. It often works where nothing else will, best of all, anyone can learn and use EFT

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP stands for Neuro Linguistic Programming, a name that encompasses the three most influential components involved in producing human experience: Neurology, Language and Programming. The neurological system regulates how our bodies function, language determines how we interface and communicate with other people, and programming determines the kind of models of the world we create.

Oriental Herbal Medicine
Oriental herbal medicine is an ancient system of health care that has undergone continual development over the centuries as the causes of illnesses that afflict mankind have evolved. In its country of origin it is not an alternative form of therapy but is used in the state hospitals alongside conventional western science-based medicine.

What Can Be Treated
Oriental medicine can understand and treat all forms of ill health. The results that can be expected and the length of treatment required will depend on the severity of the disease, its duration and the general health of the patient.
