    Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy

    Marissa-Catherine Carrarini
BA, MA, Nutritional Therapist NT Dip CNM

    About Marissa-Catherine

Marissa-Catherine is a qualified nutritional therapist. She qualified at the College of Naturopathic Medicine.
Marissa-Catherine is passionate about the positive effects wholesome, delicious food can have on the physical and mental self. More than just medicine, food is a tonic for everyday energy, strength and happiness.
Food has always played an important part in Marissa-Catherine’s life. She grew up in the centre of London where her parents owned a restaurant and delicatessen. Her mother did the cooking and baking and her father sold the amazing produce. Now her parents own an organic English bakery in Paris. As a child and teenager Marissa-Catherine always took fine food for granted and it wasn’t until she arrived at university that she met with bad eating habits and poor quality produce. During this time she also became passionate about the importance of protecting the environment. For Marissa-Catherine, eating well became equal to eating ethically and it wasn’t long before she was reading nutrition books and journals instead of Kant, Descartes and nineteenth-century poetry.
She now passionately believes that ethically produced, wholesome food not only tastes better, it is healthier for people and planet. Alongside her practice Marissa-Catherine and her husband own health store and clinic: Snowsfields Wellness. This is where she practices.
Marissa-Catherine continues to develop her practice by attending seminars, workshops and continuously reading and learning.

    What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy uses great tasting food and occasionally supplements and lifestyle advice to help the body heal itself. Marissa-Catherine will supply you with all the education, support and advice you need to help you be in optimum health, feel and look amazing. Marissa-Catherine gives clients achievable goals and inspires clients on how to make healthful food delicious, affordable and a vital part of your every day.
During a consultation, Marissa-Catherine will ask all sorts of questions about what you eat, how you feel and your health. The initial consultation will last for one hour and most follow ups will be 30 minutes. After a consultation, Marissa-Catherine is always contactable for extra support or advice and know-how.
Who and What can Nutritional Therapy Help?
Nutritional therapy is suitable for everyone no matter their age; physical, emotional or mental issues or diet (think: anything from a kebab fiend to a aw foodist).
As a therapist Marissa-Catherine works with all body and mind problems, but she has a keen interest in:
    • disordered eating
    • digestive issues
    • stress
    • anxiety
    • learning difficulties (such as dyslexia and ADHD)
    • pregnancy
She loves working with teenagers and young children.

Private, Corporate and Mums & Bubs

Marissa-Catherine works with private clients in her clinic and also corporate clients. Corporate nutritional therapy sessions are a wonderful opportunity for company owners or managers to not only promote wellness but to ensure that each staff member is well enough to work to their full potential.
Corporate nutritional therapy sessions are the same as above. Marissa-Catherine is happy to see the individual clients in their work environment or at her clinic. These appointments can be brought in packs of five or on an individual basis.
Marissa-Catherine also works with mother & baby or antenatal classes. She gives advice and practical know-how on how to improve the diet of the mother or mother-to-be and her family, as well as what to feed the baby and when.
Any questions, please do not hesitate to give Marissa-Catherine a call.
Book today and mention Natural Therapy Pages and you will receive a 10% discount on your first 1 hour session.

    Katy Mason

Katy says 'Using food in its most natural and pure state to encourage wellness, is as simple and as satisfying as it can get - good nutrition enables everyone to feel better.'

Katy has a diploma in naturopathic nutrition from the college of naturopathic medicine and is a member of the Federation of Nutritional Therapy Practitioners.

During your consultation, Katy will discuss your diet, lifestyle and medical history with you. For many of Katy’s clients this is the first time someone has truly taken the time to listen and respond to how they are feeling – both physically and emotionally.

Katy will then work with clients to help improve their eating and lifestyle. She may also recommend some supplements.

Katy paces her consultations to the client, but generally likes to take things slowly, so that any changes to diet and lifestyle become second nature - instead of just a passing faze.

Interests: Although Katy sees all kinds of clients she has a special interest in endometriosis and diabetes type one. She uses nutrition to manage these conditions herself.

Katy practices at Snowsfields Wellness on Saturdays

    Acupuncture

    Atif Chaudhary

Atif Chaudhary trained in Acupuncture at the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and continues to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the UK. His interest in TCM came from his awareness of vital energy called "Qi" (pronounced "Chee") through Tai Chi and Chinese martial arts. It is this Qi that keeps us healthy, strong and free from disease. Acupuncture taps in to this Qi and helps the body to heal and strengthen itself in a completely natural way. Atif may also use cupping, massage or heat treatments to enhance the treatment.
By looking at the tongue, feeling the pulse and by taking appropriate medical history, Atif is able to diagnose according to the principles of TCM. Extremely fine and sterile needles are used to balance the body's Qi, resulting in improvements in health, wellbeing and even mood! Atif has treated a variety of cases including stress, depression, back and joint pain, poor circulation, fatigue, headache, infertility and more.

Atif is a member of the British Acupuncture Council which ensures the highest standard of practice available in the UK.

Atif continues his research into TCM and his primary goal is to put the patient's health and happiness first.

    Atif practices on:

    Saturdays all day

    Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

    Rosie Owen

Rosie first became aware of Craniosacral Therapy through personal treatment and became an immediate convert. She has previously worked in event management and magazine publishing and sees herself now as the happy medium between the 'alternative health' and 'business and media' worlds.

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle form of holistic body therapy, working on a deep and powerful level with the anatomy and physiology of the body to provide deep relaxation and revive one’s sense of wellbeing. It involves a light hand contact to ‘listen’ to your natural tissue and fluid rhythms, promoting the body’s ability to heal itself. It is particularly effective in the form of a short course of treatments.

Craniosacral Therapy can be beneficial for a wide range of health issues including: headaches, back and joint pain, digestive problems, stress, and fatigue and sleep issues. Rosie is particularly interested in developing Craniosacral Therapy in the prevention and treatment of sports injuries.

    Reflexology

    Joanna Ibbett

Reflexology is a non-invasive, gentle treatment of the feet, and sometimes the hands. Joanna works by applying varied pressure to points on the feet. These points, or reflexes, are seen as maps to the entire body, therefore working a specific area of the foot can have positive results on the corresponding organ or body part.
Reflexology works in two main ways; by both relaxing and stimulating. The treatment helps to relax the nervous system and improve the body’s natural healing mechanisms whilst reducing stress levels. It also stimulates circulation creating improved cell and organ function.

Reflexology is very effective in aiding problems with sleep, digestion, anxiety and muscle tension.

    Joanna Practices on:

    Thursday Afternoons 1.30-6.30
    Saturday Afternoons 1.30-6.30

For more information or to book an appointment or for more information, please call 0207 407 9910
