"My interest is in the future because that's where I'm going to spend the rest of my life." C Kettering
SERVICES What can I help with?
As an experienced and fully qualified counsellor and therapist in private practice, I have helped many people to overcome a range of issues including:
focusing on the solution rather than unduly dwelling on the past.
What is my approach?
A solution-focused approach is forward-looking and positive whilst still giving the past respectful recognition. I offer reliable and practical help without "psychobabble", drawing on the latest findings from psychology and neurobiology about how the mind works. I also draw on a wide range of techniques which have been established as the most effective for relieving emotional distress and behavioural difficulties so you can move on with your life as quickly as possible. Things like relaxation/calming techniques and learning new thinking and communication styles. The average number of sessions is between two and six. Generally the average number of sessions is between 2 and 6.
What else can you expect?
I have a number of supporting materials such as CDs, handouts and (business-card size) reminder/cue cards which are all included in the fee. My clients find these a really helpful added resource. The average number of sessions is between 2 and 6.
Where I am?
I am based in Clifton, Bristol.
