Welcome to Sacred Seeds

With my Naturopathic foundations I will endeavour to find the root cause of your ailments and not just treat the symptoms. With my background in nutrition (I was a food sensitivity tester for six years) I will be able to give you nutritional advice. After all, the right food can be the best medicine there is.

I treat every patient as unique even though they may display common symptoms, as each person's individual constitution will have factors to play in root cause of ill health. I believe in a holistic way of working, using the natural resources which are everywhere around us as well as our own innate healing wisdom.

I offer face-to-face consultations in Sheffield park, Nr Uckfield (At Wowo Campsite in a shepherds hut) on various weekdays including evenings apts, at Honey’s Green Clinic on Monday mornings, Halland (Nr East Hoathly) and Brighton at About Balance on Thursdays. The initial consultation will last between 1-1.5 hours and costs £40 (or £30 with concession). I typically aim for a Follow up consultation about 4 weeks after initial consult which last's approximately 30 minutes and cost £20. After that we can stagger our consults as and when needed once we’ve got your treatment on the right track. Consultations for children cost £20

Herbal medicines are individually tailored after the consult. I normally post your Herbal formulae a few days after our consult or the prescription can be available for collection from Sheffield park. Herbs can be taken in a very wide number of forms. I most commonly prescribe tinctures (liquid herbal extracts) and teas (infusions or decoctions) but I also prescribe capsules, syrups, lotions, creams, rubs, inhalations and herbal baths.

Making medicine in all it’s many forms is like a meditation for me – from harvesting, drying and tincturing to making powders, capsules, infused oils, seasonal tonics and tea blends… or simply taking time out to look at the plant world around me.

I feel passionate about sharing my knowledge with children, as they begin their journeys to become future guardians and protectors of the world around us. In order to inspire children I hope to inspire their parents by offering workshops for whole families to attend together, empowering them to rely less on pharmaceuticals and make fewer visits to their GP. Along with other inspiring colleagues and Herbalist’s we run a Herbal home-Ed group that offers 5 days over the year following the seasons medicine chest.
We also offer several full day or half day foraging and wild medicine workshops

About Me

I studied two diplomas at The College of Naturopathic Medicine in London – one three year full time course in Herbal Medicine and one two year course in Naturopathic Studies. I undertook 500 hours of supervised clinical training in herbal medicine and am able to assess patients medically as well as holistically. It’s vital to have medical as well as traditional knowledge. As primary health care professionals we need to be able to spot any danger signs of serious undiagnosed conditions and refer clients when necessary.

Herb box scheme

We are very excited indeed to launch the first quarterly medicinal herb box scheme in Sussex, and one of the first in the whole of the UK. With the first quarterly boxes dispatched in June 2016, this project has been taking flight and gathering momentum each quarter.

Only 40 boxes are available each quarter, the majority of those are reserved for orders on annual subscription. Choose from either a small box (3 items) or a large box (6 items).

Herbal Medicine

I specialise in:
  • Autoimmune conditions
  • Digestive complaints (often the root cause of ill health)
  • Adrenal fatigue/burn out
Herbal medicine can be used to treat many complaints commonly seen by GPs. However I always take special care to refer patients to a specialist or back to their GP if necessary.

Some of the problems commonly seen by herbalists are listed below:
  • Coughs, colds and allergic conditions
  • Skin problems such as eczema, acne and psoriasis
  • Stress and anxiety
  • Headaches
  • Sleep problems
  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Circulation problems
  • Digestive and bowel problems
  • Muscular aches and pains
  • Urinary problems
  • Gynaecological problems including PMS, painful and heavy periods, PCOS and fertility issues
Medicine began with herbs. Our relationship with plants is crucial and profound. We co-evolved with plants and it is time to remember this ancient form of medicine and bring it into the for-front of modern medicine. Plant medicines offer gentle, well tolerated and sustainable options for supporting health and well being.
