Reducing pain. Restoring function. Building strength. Improving posture. Increasing mobility. Gaining flexibility. Improving balance. Promoting vitality. Releasing Tension. We are here to help and guide you.

The thinking behind Equilesse is to find balance – in work and play, in your mind and your body. Our health and wellbeing is at the heart of who we are. 21st century living is hard on our bodies – working at desks, computers, long commutes, daily pressures weigh us down. We are less physical and lose the connection with our bodies. 21st century living is also hard on our minds – information overload, 24/7 email, web, phone connection, stress takes it toll. We can’t ignore this, we all have to live in this environment. What we want to do here at Equilesse is help you find a balance, space to ‘be’ you.

Pilates

If you are looking to re-energise, improve your posture, alleviate back pain, tone & strengthen muscles, release tension or simply have a greater sense of well being, then Pilates is for you…….

Pilates offers both mental and physical training, teaching you to be in control of your body. Targeting the key postural muscles, it works to build strength from the inside out and rebalances your body. By focusing on core strength, flexibility and posture, students see continuing results: they look better, feel better and are challenged on multiple levels.

With regular practice, you will benefit from:
  • improved flexibility
  • Greater strength and muscle tone
  • Longer, leaner muscles
  • Improved posture
  • Less incidence of back pain
  • Lower stress levels

Testimonials

Anyone looking for an exercise system which not merely improves body shape but enhances poise, grace and co-ordination and simply makes you feel good about yourself, absolutely should take up Pilates….. Sue Masson

Speaking as someone who finds the idea of an exercise class intimidating, this has been one of the most helpful, lovely classes I have ever tried AND…..its really working. I LOVE IT! Charlotte, Teacher

Having developed Arthritis at 24 I lost range of movement in numerous muscles and joints. I took up Pilates with Stef a year ago and the changes in my body are incredible. Stef has been fantastic at tailoring exercises to suit my particular needs. As I’ve grown stronger I have been able to do movements that weren’t possible few months ago. I’d recommend Pilates to anyone recovering from illness/injury, looking to increase their body tone or simply to release tension!
Hollie, Account Manager

Would you expect a teacher to willingly take on a 60plus man, overweight and out of shape? With dodgy knees and ankles? Who had done no serious exercise for 30 years? Stephanie did and within weeks my posture had improved. I had lost weight and waistline and was generally more confident. I looked forward to my weekly lesson although I knew I was going to be challenged with new exercises.

Would I recommend Pilates as a means of improving posture and feeling stronger? No question. Would I recommend Stephanie as a teacher? Absolutely. Anyone who can make exercise fun has got to be worth their weight in gold!

Malcolm, IT Management consultant

The highlight of my week for the past nine months has been my 1-2-1 session with Stef. The results have been amazing, my muscles are toned, my core strength is strong, my overall shape is changing (for the better), and I always feel energised and uplifted after a session. Stef is an excellent instructor, hugely knowledgeable and supportive…. Lena
