About Us

Sarah Walford DipCNM BMedSci (Hons)

I'm a qualified nutritionist with a diploma in Nutritional Therapy from The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM). I also have a Bachelor of Medical Science (Honours) degree from the University of Birmingham. I'm a member of BANT, the regulatory body for professional nutritional therapists, and am fully insured. I regularly attend seminars and conferences to maintain my clinical knowledge and develop my skills. I am also an assistant clinical supervisor at The College of Naturopathic Medicine, helping to train the next generation of nutritional therapists.

I'm a busy mum to two lively boys, Joseph, aged 3 and Aiden, aged 1. Combining working and motherhood isn't always easy, and I have to make nutritional choices that cater for ALL of my family, including my Coke-loving, white-bread-addicted husband! So my focus is very much on small, realistic and achievable nutritional changes that will make a big difference. By focusing on incorporating more of the good stuff in to your diet, you will naturally begin to cut down on the bad stuff, without feeling deprived. And when it all becomes too much, remember the 80 / 20 rule - if you're good 80% of the time, 20% of the time you don't have to be!

Consultations

WHAT WE WILL DISCUSS- At your first consultation, we will spend a lot of time talking about your diet, your current health status, and any symptoms that you are experiencing. I will also ask you about your previous medical history. My aim is to find the root causes for any symptoms you have, and then to treat these root causes. We will discuss the aims of your treatment plan and how we are going to achieve them. This consultation takes 1-1.5 hours.

TREATMENT PLAN - Following the consultation, I will spend some time researching your case further and write a personalised treatment plan for you. I will email this to you within 48 hours of the appointment, and give you a quick call to confirm that it all makes sense. The treatment plan will include food related advice, lifestyle related advice, and may also prescribe supplements if appropriate.

FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS - We will need to meet again at least once, usually 4 weeks after our first meeting (more frequently for weight loss clients). At this consultation we will discuss how your symptoms have improved, evaluate how well the treatment plan has worked, and make any changes necessary. We can also discuss any new symptoms that you may be experiencing. Following the consultation I will write you a new, updated treatment plan that builds account the progress you have made. This will be emailed to you within 48 hours of the appointment, followed by a quick call to confirm that it all makes sense.

LOCATION & HOURS - Consultations take place in London NW3 & NW1.
Home consultations in the local area are also available on request.
Phone and Skype consultations can also be arranged.
Consultations can be arranged between 10am - 8pm, Monday to Friday, 3pm - 6pm Saturday & Sunday.

FEES - First consultation and treatment plan - £70

HEALTH INSURANCE - Pru Health - I am a recognised provider with Pru Health. If you have 'complementary benefit' as part of your policy then your treatment with me may be covered. Please advise me prior to your consultation if this applies to you.
