Welcome to Natural Reflexology

I am Anne Marie and some years ago I listened to an inspirational speaker on the ancient art of reflexology. After doing further research and reading, I qualified at Preston College in 2005. One of the lecturers gave me some sound advice, 'Feel as many feet as possible to gain the knowledge to put your training to good use ; the more feet you feel the more you will learn.'

By offering treatments to friends, family, colleagues and also through the TLC marketing schemes I have given treatments in Liverpool, Birmingham, Scotland, Wales, whilst on holiday in Turkey and of course locally in Lancashire and the Fylde coast. Naturally, my knowledge has expanded and my client base is growing steadily.

My oldest client is 98 years old and she enjoys regular treatments which helpx keep her active and full of life. One of my younger clients is a 28 year old fitness instructor who tries to include a visit to me when he comes home from London to see his Mum. So every age group can benefit. Busy Mums, stressed executives, young men and elderly ladies - in fact anyone at all.

I charge £30 for a treatment which is a full hour of reflexology plus a complimentary 5 minute facial to finish.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary (or alternative) therapy, based on the same principles as Chinese acupuncture. Pressure-point massage of the feet was used in China over 5.000 years ago, as well as by the Ancient Egyptians, Hopi tribes of North America and 16th century European medical practitioners. Reflexology is based on the theory that every organ, area and system of the body is mirrored by a reflex point in the feet. By massaging these points in the feet the Reflexologist can observe and facilitate a clearing of any blockages in the corresponding areas of the body.

Reiki

Reiki is a very simple way of channelling the natural healing force that we all possess. The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words - Rei meaning spirit or universal and Ki meaning energy. One is naturally drawn to Reiki and my Reiki Master, Jacqui Manwaring, initiated me into it's principles two years ago. Incorporating Reiki into my treatments was as natural as breathing, quite simply a wonderful gift and a way of including self healing into reflexology.

Reiki is an excellent stress management technique. The benefits of Reiki are:- improved health, deep relaxation, better sleep, increased energy, enhanced quality of life, improved relationships and peace of mind.

Holistic Therapies

Holistic, from the Greek holos meaning 'whole', summarises the words Plato wrote two thousand years ago, and yet he could be describing a present day situation. In holistic healing, the whole person - mind, body and spirit - is taken into account. Seeing "the whole person" implies an understanding of a human being as a complicated and particular related collection of energies. Modern medicine seeks only to treat part of the person, we need to do more than just treat the symptoms......we need to eliminate the cause of the disease.
