My name is Archie Coogan and I have been providing a range of healing therapies at my Natural Healing Clinic, within the Arena Health and Fitness Club, at the City side /York gate Centre in Belfast. I am a specialist in deep tissue massage, reflexology, kinesiology, Reiki and natural spiritual healing. Over the years I have built up a wide and loyal clientele. A decade ago I attended a spiritual healing event with a very special healer called Abdy, who has the gift of channelling healing to others. This proved to be a life changing experience for me. In the following years I attended many of Abdy's events and have developed my own deep and profound potential to channel healing.

Treatments
Spiritual Healing

The word "spiritual" refers to the divine nature of the energy, which healers agree comes from one external, invisible intelligent source. The healing energy from this source is available to all.

Spiritual healing is when energy is channelled to the person who needs it. The treatment works on the mind, body and spirit, which are seen as one unit that must harmonise for good health. When a healer is involved, the healer places their hands on or around the person being treated, channelling the energy from the Higher Source. The healing does not come from the healer, but through him. Spiritual healing can help emotional and mental problems, and physical conditions such as a painful shoulder etc.

Any problem - be it depression or a broken arm needs the power of healing to restore the balance of the whole person. It is felt that sickness often starts in the mind, or at the deeper level of the spirit, and it is often here that healing begins.

Aromatherapy Massage

Aromatherapy is a form of alternative medicine that uses volatile plant materials, known as essential oils, and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering a person's mind, mood, cognitive function or health.

In aromatherapy massage, essential oils are mixed together, such oil like sweet almond, apricot kernel, or grape seed oil. The massage therapist use up to five oils in a mixture, and chooses the oils based on what you need.

A relaxing aromatherapy massage, for instance, might have lavender or bergamot, while a massage for sore muscles might include peppermint and eucalyptus.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that involves the application of pressure to specific points, known as reflexes, on the feet and hands to encourage the body to heal from within.

The therapy is based on the principle that the feet and hands contain 'mini-maps' of the whole body and that by applying pressure using the fingers or thumbs a reflexologist can have a positive effect on the corresponding parts of the body.

Reflexology is a holistic therapy and treats the person as a whole rather than just focusing on a set of symptoms. Holistic therapies take the emotional and spiritual being into account as well as the physical.

Vertical Reflexology

Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT) is a technique carried out on the tops and sides of the feet while the client is standing up. Many clients respond very quickly to VRT as it is a very powerful treatment. A full VRT treatment can be carried out in only 5 minutes.

VRT can be combined with a shortened reflexology treatment for those clients who are very short on time. This way the client can be assured that all reflexes will have been treated and yet you still have the benefit of enjoying some relaxing time reclined in the reflexology chair.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive.

If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a holistic way of detecting and correcting imbalances in your body's energy. These imbalances may relate to stress, injury, nutrition, learning difficulties, pain, anxiety or some other cause.

Kinesiology is the use of muscle-testing to find out where these imbalances are and what is needed to correct them. Your body has channels of energy running through it, which are called meridians, and these may be blocked in some way.

By testing various muscles we can get a read-out of what is happening with them, and correct them. Your body therefore chooses what is best for you, rather than the practitioner telling you what you need.

Energy Cone Therapy

This is a unique & very powerful treatment for releasing blockages from the past which are stored within the body.

The therapist works on the clients right hand and connects into what is called an energy cone and then he tunes into the craniosacral fluid rhythm which runs from the base of the spine to the brain.

The therapist then asks the client how they are feeling and scans the body for emotional distress or any past hurts which they want to let go off if the client agrees they want to let go off it then the therapist will be more than glad to help them erase what is like a bar code which has been allowed to store in the body.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is a low-impact exercise for the body and mind. It combines different asanas or postures, with a deep breathing technique called pranayama to promote flexibility, balance and relaxation. With its easy-to-learn techniques and numerous health benefits, this type of yoga differs from other styles of yoga in that it focuses more on breathing and poses than on meditation.

The gentle stretches should feel like natural, comfortable positions that flow fluidly into one another at a relaxed pace. Resistance can be added or lessened simply by shifting your body's centre of gravity. A few simple position changes can modify the asana for beginners

Bach Flowers

Bach flower is a form of homeopathic treatment that seeks to alleviate specific conditions by targeting their root source. It is believed that the body's energy is a vital force that has the power to initiate healing. Hence, this treatment involves stimulation of the body's natural defence against illness by using the recommended dosage of flower extracts. Once the energy is rebalanced, physical healing will take place.

There are 38 flower remedies developed by Dr. Bach. Believing that plants hold life energies, he used the extracts of certain varieties of flowers to deliver the highest quality of life energies that may induce healing. Each of the flower essences are specifically developed to administer a specific healing action.

Hopi Ear Candle

Ear candles have been used as an ancient form of treatment for thousands of years – by the ancient Egyptians, Tibetan Monks and the Hopi Indians of North and South America who popularised this technique.

The client lies on his/her side with the therapist at their head. The 6-inch long candle, which acts as a vacuum, is placed in the ear and lit. The vibration of the air rising up through the candle is promoted by the natural movement of the flame, to gently massage the eardrum. This creates a warm swirling current of air.

A head and face massage follows the candling of each ear, and generally the whole treatment will take an hour inclusive of the consultation.
