I have been a practising counsellor since 1989, and have built a wealth of professional experience both in my own practice and as a volunteer in a youth counselling service set in a multi-ethnic community. In 1998 I gained a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling at Roehampton Institute. Feeling I needed more “tools in my toolbox”, in 1999 I completed a Diploma in Brief Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy with Uncommon Knowledge, a hypnotherapy training organisation recognised by the Hypnotherapy Standards Council. I have diplomas in both Performance and Life Coaching from Newcastle College of Further Education.
I have a private practice and also work for a number of employee-assistance programmes. In both settings my clients come from very diverse backgrounds and present with a wide range of problems such as:
- Stress
- Anxiety
- Abuse
- Addictions
- Bereavement
- Depression
- Divorce
- Panic attacks
- Phobias
- PTSD
- Relationship and sexual difficulties
- and many other associated issues.
Whatever the problem, I always use an individually tailored approach for each client.
Where do we meet?
We can meet for our sessions at one of two locations. Firstly there is my office at Taliesin – a quiet room on the ground floor overlooking a secluded garden, with easy access and parking. Or, if you need to travel by public transport, then we can meet in central Woking at the Holistic Health Centre, only 5 minutes walk from both the bus and train stations.

Qualifications
I am a member of the Coaching Academy and the General Hypnotherapy Register and an Accredited Member of the National Council for Hypnotherapy. I receive regular supervision from a professionally qualified supervisor and am committed to my continuing professional development. As I often work with children and vulnerable adults, I have an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate issued by the Criminal Records Bureau dated 28th September 2008. I work to a prescribed Code of Ethics for counsellors and hypnotherapists.
