Why Shamanic Healing?
Shamanic healing restores a client’s energy, which enables them to live creatively and experience a sense of magic in life. The shaman assists the client on their journey to personal empowerment without assuming authority over them. A loving, supportive environment is provided when the client is dealing with difficulties.
Shamans understand that we are connected to something greater than ourselves and that disconnection from this Source causes illness. Re-connection with our spiritual origins is the only way to truly heal.
My Way of Working
I work intuitively with Nature to find the healing that the client needs at the time. I offer energy re-balancing, power retrieval, soul retrieval, plant work and card readings. Below is a description of what each treatment entails. The type of healing will depend on the client’s current situation.
Energy Re-balancing
This entails restoring the flow in a client’s chakras and energy body and removing harmful intrusions.
Soul Retrieval
Shamanic journeying is done with drumming to find and restore the client’s lost energy for integration with the present self. In Western psychological terms this can be described as healing through accessing the unconscious.
Power Retrieval
Shamanic journeying is done to find helpful elements in nature. This includes totem animals and other natural elements.
Plant Work
I work with the African Tree Essences, a range of vibrational remedies (see www.africantreeessences.co.za). I also do shamanic journeying to find guidance from other plants that the client may need at the time.
Readings
I use the Tarot as well as Steven Farmer’s Earth Magic oracle cards. Rather than divination, the purpose is to assist the client on their soul path.
Distance Healing
Card readings can be done via Skype or phone. For a shamanic journey session, we will set up a time for a call via Skype or phone. After talking I will do journey work and give feedback, either via phone or email.
About Me
Experiences in my childhood have led to my search for healing. In the process I have discovered the shamanic way: a relationship with the essence of all things. Healing happens through the heart, because only in that way can a person’s true nature be understood.
I grew up in a background that I would describe as religious, patriarchal and academic. After school I studied Psychology and Classical Literature at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. I worked for a business in customer service for five years, during which I continued my studies of healing and spirituality in my own time. In 2010 I did a course in cross-cultural shamanism through The Four Gates foundation (www.thefourgates.org) in Spain. I followed this up with a course in African Tree Essences (www.africantreeessences.co.za) in South Africa in 2013. I have recently completed a Master's degree in Classics at the University of Edinburgh, focusing mainly on mythology and ancient civilisations. This has given me a perspective on how our collective past has influenced the global need for healing that we face today.
Other than a healer, I am also a writer and artist. My first novel, In Search of the Golden City, is a book about the pursuit of destiny and the obstacles along the way. It is expected to be released later in 2015 by All Things That Matter Press.

Price List
£40 per hour or £60 for a full shamanic healing (one and a half to two hours). This includes energy re-balancing, power retrieval, soul retrieval and plant work.
