SERVICES
Welcome to Mandy Cox Therapies

Reflexology, Massage and Dermalogica Facial Therapist in the ripley/woking/cobham area. Mobile visits available.

I am a reflexologist/massage/facial therapist working in Ripley, East Horsley, Woking, cobham and surrounding areas. I am a fully qualified and insured member of ITEC and the Association of Reflexology. I offer treatments in my Ripley Clinic as well as home visits.

I trained at the Practitioner School of Reflexology in 2001 and am also fully qualified in Therapeutic massage, Indian head and shoulder massage and Hopi Indian ear candles. I continually strive to improve my skills by regularly attending courses and seminars, which include vertical reflexology, maternity reflexology, lanuguage of the feet and advanced reflexology therapy.

Reflexology

What is reflexology?

Reflexology is a natural healing therapy and works on the principle that reflex points in the feet correspond to every part of the body. Gentle pressure is applied to these reflex points, which can help alleviate tension and improve circulation, encouraging the body to heal itself as well as encouraging a deep relaxation.

How can reflexology help me?

Since reflexology treats the whole person rather than specific symptoms, most people can benefit from treatment. It can be used to help with almost any condition and for people of any age. It can be particularly helpful in the following areas: insomnia, stress, fatigue, anxiety, asthma, menopause, PMS, IBS and digestive problems, headaches, backache and pregnancy related conditions. However because of its highly relaxing and stress relieving nature, reflexology can be of benefit to anyone in todays hectic lifestyle.

Massage Therapy

Deeply relaxing, this is the manipulation of soft tissue, performed with oils. When muscles are overworked, waste products such as lactic acid can accumulate in the muscle, causing soreness, stiffness and even muscle spasm. Massage improves circulation, which increases blood flow, bringing fresh oxygen to body tissues. This can assist in the elimination of toxins from the muscles, speed healing after injury and enhance recovery from disease. Massage also stretches the muscles keeping them supple and pliable, it stimulates the nervous system which in turn can help reduce stress, both emotional and physical.

Pregnancy massage

A safe relaxing treatment found to reduce stress, relieve many of the effects of pregnancy including headaches, bachache, water retention and other pregnancy related conditons.

Indian head massage

Indian head massage is a seated massage of the head, neck, shoulders and arms. This very relaxing treatment can help unlock tension trapped in the muscles, improve blood circulation and give relief headaches and neck and shoulder stiffness.
