Welcome to Lynn Adams - Nutritional Therapist

Nutritional therapy is natural functional medicine that is suitable for everyone.

Are you affected by

low energy, ME, digestive disorders, IBS, female complaints, PCOS, menopause, PMS, thyroid problems, stress, anxiety, poor memory, high blood pressure or cholesterol, allergies, food intolerance, eczema, psoriasis, acne, arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, frequent colds or infections, migraines, ADHD, weight management issues?

Nutritional Therapy can help you Transform Your health.

Food, nutrition and health always go together. Like putting petrol in a car to make it work, the organs and systems in our bodies rely on the correct balance of nutrients from the foods we eat in order to function properly.

You know what happens if you put diesel in a petrol engine!

Well our bodies are the same - if you are not providing your body with the correct balance of essential nutrients, your health will suffer.

Almost everyone can benefit from changes to their diet, whether you simply want to optimise your health or you are suffering a chronic disease, nutritional medicine can always help.

About Me

Thirteen years ago I was diagnosed with triple vessel coronary heart disease (CHD) and discovered I had previously suffered a heart attack.

Two years later I was in hospital again when attempts to widen my congested arteries with angioplasty & stents failed. I could not walk upstairs without experiencing angina & my cardiologist explained that CHD is progressive & I would most certainly require triple bypass surgery within the next 10 years.

Forced to take sick leave from my job as a lecturer & manager in further & higher education, I determined I would use the time to investigate means of improving my prognosis; I read everything I could get my hands on related to CHD & began to realise that not only could I slow progression but it may be possible to reverse this chronic condition. This was the turning point when I finally took responsibility for my own health. The changes I implemented to my dietary and lifestyle habits had such a profoundly positive effect that a year later my cardiologist discharged me.

My research into the effects of nutrition on heart disease continued & began to expand to other fields of ill health; my interest was so great & I was so inspired by my own dramatic recovery that I spent the following 6 years studying a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Medicine with Thames Valley University. During this time I continued to trial everything I learned about CHD & certain other health issues on myself to reach the optimum health I enjoy today.

My aim as a nutritional therapist is to help you achieve your optimum health & experience your best possible quality of life.

I’m living proof of how successful nutritional therapy combined with certain lifestyle changes can be: in May 2010 I had 2 ECGs, an echocardiogram & a Bruce protocol exercise test - all results were NORMAL - and not a scalpel in sight!
