Life can become difficult trying to cut through the noise and confusion of everyday life.

Life can become difficult trying to cut through the noise and confusion of everyday life. The confusion ultimately impacts on our relationships and our ability to make decisions, resulting in depression or anxiety and a sense of isolation. Our thoughts, feelings and behaviour become a confused mesh of which we have no understanding and have difficulty discussing or explaining to others. Counselling helps by working collaboratively with the guided exploration of your ‘here and now’ issues or difficulties. I am an Integrative Counsellor specialising in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy ( CBT) proven to be affective in the treatment of Anxiety and Depression.

Depression, anxiety, bereavment, abuse, relationship difficulties, work related difficulties, eating disorders, low self esteem, or sometimes it can very difficult to categorise the reasons why people find themselves stuck or that life is just not the same or of no worth.

Counselling

Counselling provides time out to explore issues removed from family and freinds in a warm, safe, environment. This allows exploration without fear of being judged. A therapeutic relationship is formed, exploration continues collaboratively removing feelings of isolation. Counselling supports you throughout exploration, understanding and change by finding your strengths. This leads to a self acceptance, increased self esteem, empowerment by your ability to challenge thoughts feelings and behaviour in preparation for ending counselling.

Approaching therapy can be a difficult decision. I offer the first session free of charge in order that we can meet and you can assess if we can work together. I believe in the counselling process and the ability to help clients find their own resources for change. If you agree to continue further sessions can be arranged.

I am a professionally qualified, experienced Integrative counsellor. I have worked successfully in a community project and in private practice. I am an Anxiety UK approved therapist, a member of the BACP and accredited membership with the National Counselling Society.
