FEDANT approved weekly antenatal classes and active birth workshops with a difference!
The classes are a combination of yoga-inspired movement, birth education, breathing techniques and relaxation – we educate as we move, teaching you why you are doing the movement we’ve taught you and how it will help during pregnancy, labour and birth. By practising the moves week on week, we are aiming to build muscle memory and make them instinctive so that when you go in to labour, you automatically remember what you can do to help yourself. The classes are for mummies-to-be only and are suitable from 14 weeks onwards.
The class are 1 hour 20 minutes and run in 6 week terms, and cost £54 per term.
Active Birth Workshops. This 3-4 hour session is for you and your birth partner, whoever that may be. We take you through each stage of your labour, teaching you what your body is doing, positions, movement and breathing to help and massage and other techniques your birth partner can use to help you labour calmly, easily and more comfortably.
For those of that attend weekly classes, the workshops will help to consolidate what you have learnt, as well as providing your birth partner with the information he or she needs to support you with confidence through your labour.
Workshops are £75 per 'couple' and will be held on a Saturday or Sunday according to demand (approximately every six weeks – please get in touch if you are interested.
