SERVICES
I am a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist with established clinics in North and West London. I take great joy in working with men, women and children of all ages and from all walks of life. Taking a holistic approach to your health, I treat each person as a unique individual and take great care to listen to your individual story and find the best way to support your path back to health and vitality.

What can craniosacral therapy do for you?

I became a craniosacral therapist because I witnessed first-hand the transformative effects this work can have. For my personal journey, the greatest gift craniosacral therapy has given me is the ability to calm the business of my mind (more like a washing-machine at times!), find my centre and feel a sense of stillness and wholeness. This has had a knock-on effect of improved personal relationships, better resistance to colds and flu, improved asthma symptoms, better physical fitness, deeper sleep, improved energy levels, and virtually no back pain.

My clients report similar results:

  • A client with years of hormonal and fertility problems started having her periods again after only one session.

  • A pregnant client with a baby in the breech position came to me worried about the birth and possible interventions. A few days after the treatment the baby turned into an optimal position and the mother went on to have a natural birth.

  • A 4 year old girl suffering from ear infections since birth received three treatments and has not had another ear infection since. That was three years ago.

  • A client having difficulty accepting the death of her mother was able through our sessions to say goodbye and allow herself to grieve.

  • A client suffering from long-term debilitating depression says, "Every time I leave a session with you, I feel like I've found joy in life again. You can't imagine what a change this is for me!"

  • Another client diagnosed with M.E. was able to return to work after only five craniosacral sessions.

  • A mother of two young children says: "My life is so busy and stressful, these sessions are the only time I have to feel peace and switch everything off. This helps me to cope with everything."

  • A client who had suffered with migraines for years after an abusive childhood reported after several sessions that the migraines were gone. Three years later they have never returned and she has made peace with her past trauma.

Why have craniosacral therapy?

Some people come because they feel as though they aren’t coping and that life is very difficult. Craniosacral Therapy can often be a last resort after many years of struggle.

Some people come because they have long standing health issues which make it very difficult to cope. Craniosacral Therapy can help relieve the emotional and physical side-effects of living with long term illness or pain and can support the body in its natural movement towards health.

Some people come because they have experienced traumatic events that they can not move past. Craniosacral Therapy is a very safe, gentle and effective way of treating trauma and post-traumatic states.

Some people come because they are incredibly stressed and anxious and can’t seem to find any relief from a very busy mind. Craniosacral Therapy is especially good at encouraging a very deep sense of stillness allowing the mind slow down and rest. Many people say they sleep very well after a craniosacral treatment.

Some people come because they just need to be held and listened to. The most important thing a Craniosacral Therapist does is to simply be present for the client and hold the therapeutic space allowing the client’s process to unfold naturally.

Who should have craniosacral therapy?

Everyone! I sincerely believe that the world would be a better place if everyone had access to the kind of stillness and self-awareness that a craniosacral therapy session provides. In my clinics, I see clients with a range of issues from bad backs, digestive issues and chronic fatigue to post-traumatic states, depression and mental illness. I've done a considerable amount of work supporting women living with HIV and this remains a passion for me. I also feel strongly that mothers at all stages can benefit from the type of support cranial work offers them.

However, I don't treat clients as an illness or set of symptoms. I always work from the principle that I work with health, not illness, and help my clients, regardless of their condition, come back into a connection with their own health. In my opinion, craniosacral work is the safest and most effective way to feel healthy again.

What happens in a craniosacral session?

I will ask you to lie fully clothed on the treatment table before making contact. Contact may be made most commonly at the head, feet or sacrum. However, I may feel drawn to make contact anywhere in the body – always with your permission. The early minutes of the session are often ones in which settling and relaxation occurs. You may feel the stress and strains of your busy day begin to fade away as you start to experience a sense of deep relaxation and stillness.

At this point I will follow the priority of your body listening with my hands to what needs attention. I may move to a new position or change my hand hold in order to facilitate a state of balance and deeper stillness. You may feel different sensations in your body or experience a “meditation like” state. Tight muscles may begin to soften and you may begin to feel more spacious in different areas of your body. It is not uncommon for emotions to arise, however, I will work with you to make sure you feel comfortable and safe with anything you experience.

Sometimes the benefits are not immediately noticeable but may take a few days to become obvious. The work can involve resolution of past events and is often profoundly relaxing, deeply moving and exhilarating. It can be considered a fascinating exploration of your inner landscape.

How much will it cost?

I charge £45 per session. Each session lasts from 45 minutes to an hour. Although, you may notice major improvements after your first session you should consider this a mid to long term treatment plan and expect to commit yourself to at least five weekly or bi-weekly sessions in order to realise the full potential of this work. After five sessions we will re-evaluate your progress and discuss further options.

I ask for 24-hours cancellation notice please. Otherwise the full fee is due.

Call me on +447919074331 for a brief phone consultation and to book your first session. Mention naturaltherapypages.co.uk and you will receive £10 off your first session.
