Welcome...

My Osteopathy practice was established in Bromley 20 years ago, and I have built up a reputation for professionalism combined with a caring approach. I tailor my treatment to meet the needs of the individual. As a keen tennis player, I get many requests for help from fellow players and have built up the sports injury side of the practice.

I work in a holistic way, considering all aspects of life; work, leisure, diet and fitness where relevant. Treatment often combines structural and cranial osteopathy to best meet the needs of the patient. Helping with pregnancy related back problems is another important aspect of my work.

I know that a web-site can seem a little clinical(!) so once you have browsed the site, feel free to contact me to talk, or send me an e-mail if you prefer.

I am experienced in treating people with the following conditions:
  • back and neck pain,
  • sciatica,
  • headaches and migraines,
  • frozen shoulder,
  • arthritis,
  • tension,
  • stress,
  • postural imbalance,
  • sinusitis,
  • colic,
  • post-viral fatigue,
  • irritable bowel syndrome,
  • sports injuries.
My osteopathy, cranial osteopathy, and sports injury clinic is located in Hayes, Bromley, within easy reach of West Wickham, Orpington, Beckenham, Catford, Chislehurst, Penge and Sydenham.

My Qualifications and Professional Associations

I trained at the British School of Osteopathy, widely regarded as one of the premier osteopathic training establishments in the world. I obtained the D.O. (Diploma in Osteopathy) in 1990.

In 1995 I undertook further training in Cranial Osteopathy at the BSO.

I gained a Masters Degree (MSc) in Complementary Therapy Studies at the University of Westminster in 2004.

I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and am a member of the British Osteopathic Association and the Sutherland Cranial Society.

I have been a lecturer at the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent.

I am a firm advocate of CPD (continuing professional development) and regularly attend courses to update my skills and keep abreast of current developments in the world of Osteopathy.

People and Testimonials

I run the clinical aspects of the practice. I have invaluable help from my receptionist Wendy and from my wife, Jackie. They keep the practice running smoothly and efficiently!

Received from Dr Peter Warwick

I have received treatment from Andreas Jochim to alleviate occasional back problems for a number of years. His methods of relief have proved extremely helpful; not only for his technical skills, but also his positive attitude and common sense advice. These include:
  • 1. Being available at very short notice, so that treatment can be effected without being on a waiting list.

  • 2. Usually immediate diagnosis of the source and area needing treatment.

  • 3. Use of suitable soft sound effects/music during treatment.

  • 4. Ability to relax patient, via skull massage. Advice on how to relax at home.

  • 5. Advice on life style eg taking care to avoid unnecessary violent or sudden movements at home/work.

  • 6. A confident bedside manner, that encourages positive attitude to dealing with pain and physical problems.

From mother of a baby who had cranial treatment.

After the first visit she seemed much happier; I noticed improvements straight away, she began to sleep in her crib long enough for me to get some washing up done! …she is a very happy baby always smiling and giggling, even sleeping through most nights. Mrs E. M.

From another mother;

My young baby, Benjamin, attended the practice for a series of cranial osteopathy treatments and I was delighted with his progress. The whole experience was handled in a most professional and calm way and I felt totally at ease when the treatments were being carried out.

The effect on Benjamin was fantastic, he became more relaxed, and soon started to feed and settle better than before. 'Winding' became easier and more manageable as the treatment progressed and I would thoroughly recommend parents to talk to Andreas about the benefits of this treatment should they have any questions, as he will address these in a sensible and understandable way. Mrs E. Young, mother and Police Officer
