About Jess
Jess decided to train as an acupuncturist after having acupuncture herself for many years and realising its effectiveness.
Jess trained at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. She received her license to practise after three years training. She is also a member of the British Acupuncture Council , the Acupuncture Childbirth Team (Oxford) and the Acupuncture Fertility Network.
Since graduating, Jess has worked at busy acupuncture practices in Edinburgh and Manchester before deciding to settle in Oxfordshire. Her work in Manchester was at a clinic specialising in acupuncture for fertility and in pregnancy. She is now an Associate Practitioner at 'Nature Child', a clinic specialising in Women's health related issues.
Continuing professional development is an important part of Jess' work and she regularly undertakes courses that deepen and broaden her acupuncture skills. Jess is a member of World Medicine, a charitable organisation, which provides complimentary health care to people around the world suffering the effects of trauma, disaster and poverty.
Before training as an acupuncturist Jess graduated with a degree in economic and social history and has also worked as a volunteer on a city farm, for a mentoring project and for a local environmental charity.
