Do you suffer with Pain?

Do you put up with ongoing illness?

Do you want to be healthier and happier?

Discover how you can improve your health and well-being, reduce pain and generally feel happier, more energised, more focused and less stressed or anxious.

These are just some of the positive effects of acupuncture. To find out which conditions acupuncture can help, visit the World Health Organisation at http://apps.who.int/medicinedocs/pdf/s4926e/s4926e.pdf.

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCM acupuncture) is based on a system of medicine which takes into account your physical as well as mental/emotional factors in order to treat you with long-lasting and profound effects. The power of Chinese Medicine lies in the way it also treats at the root of your problems and taps into the body’s own ability to start healing itself.

TCM acupuncture is a ‘complementary therapy’ , which means it can be used alongside any mainstream treatment your doctor or healthcare professional has advised. If you have a serious medical condition you will be asked to seek advise from your doctor if you have not already done so.

Many conditions can be improved with Traditional Acupuncture including:
  • neck and back pain
  • joint pain
  • muscle pain
  • headaches and migraine
  • digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome
  • period problems such as pre menstrual syndrome
  • infertility
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • stress
  • sleep problems
  • giving up smoking
What sets us apart?

A comprehensive and thorough assessment is made of your condition.

Time is taken to listen carefully to your needs and to explain what is happening.

Treatments are tailored to your individual needs. You are unique and no 2 people with the same problem are treated in the same way.

We treat the ‘whole’ person and not just the disease or symptoms.

Treatments work on physical as well as emotional levels.

Lifestyle advice is given regarding diet and exercise, in keeping with the principles of Chinese Medicine.

All follow-up treatments take into account the changing nature of your condition in order to work towards positive results.

Results are deeper and longer lasting.

Treatment

Other forms of treatment are either used alongside or instead of acupuncture. Once a diagnosis is made, the most appropriate form of treatment will be recommended.
  • TDP Heat Lamp is used to warm the points.
  • Gua Sha may be used on the channels which is a firm scraping action over the muscles using a traditional tool.
  • Seven Star Needling is a technique to bring excess heat to the surface.
  • Cupping uses vacuum-filled jars placed over muscles to help move stagnation and tonify.
  • Ear acupuncture is the placement of very fine needles into the skin surrounding the pinna of the ear.
