Testimonials:

“Ollie loves agility and flyball but had slowed down and developed a limp. After treatment he returned to his original speed and cheeky self. Thanks Isabelle”

“Thank you for treating our old girl Gracie, she looks much more comfortable and best of all is eating again!”

Bowen NST for dogs/small mammals

The Canine Bowen NST Technique is a complementary, holistic therapy, which uses the same gentle, rolling moves as in the NST Technique for humans, but has been specifically adapted for dogs and small mammals.

It is defined as non-diagnostic, non-invasive, non-manipulative hands-on systems of bodywork addressing the whole animal with an organized series of unique, gentle, rolling moves over soft tissue.

Promoting healing on many levels, a treatment can promote rapid, effective relief from pain, increase mobility in the injured or elderly dog, reduce the stress on muscle and mind. Most dogs enjoy this relaxing gentle technique.

Complementary to, not an alternative to regular veterinary care, a consultation includes a brief questionnaire about your dog’s general health, a physical assessment, and the treatment which can last from 45 minutes down to a 10 minute session.

Conditions that respond well to Bowen NST
  • Hip and elbow dysplasia
  • Arthritis / lameness
  • Leg, back, shoulder and neck injuries
  • Sprains / strains & ligament damage which affect performance
  • Abnormalities in gait due to uneven, sore or tight muscles
  • Degenerative joint disease
  • Digestive / kidney problems
  • Stressed / nervous / rescue dogs
  • Performance, show and working dogs who need to be fit and supple
  • Elderly dogs with mobility problems
  • Dogs undergoing post-operative rehabilitation
  • Pet dogs who would benefit from a general muscle MOT
