Hello,

You have probably been attracted here because you or someone you care for currently has a problem. Maybe you are utterly fed up with your situation and have decided to do something about it..

Maybe you wish to be free of an emotional / psychological problem or simply want to feel better about yourself.

I invite you to consider how the following ways of working may help you at this point in time.

CLINICAL HYPNOTHERAPY

'Hypnosis is as old as mankind'

In the past hypnosis has conjured up the image of entertainment. Nowadays more and more people are seeking its successful use in the clinical setting.

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is not a state of deep sleep; it is a common everyday experience that people dip in and out of, like being lost in a book, or engrossed in a good film for example. 'Hypnosis is safer than many conventional medicines' I have been described as sensitive, sometimes over sensitive in my life - some may consider that as a negative trait, I prefer to view that sensitivity as a heightened sense of awareness of people's needs and therefore an asset, for without it, the work I do would not come so naturally. I draw upon the disciplines of Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP.

These are very effective methods for finding new ways to learn about and develop effective coping skills for the following examples and more:
  • The prevalence of 'negative' emotions such as anger, sadness, fear, guilt, grief, anxiety, loneliness and jealousy.
  • Reactions such as panic attacks and phobias.
  • Life events including bereavement, post-traumatic stress and recovery from abuse.
  • General negative states such as depression, low self-esteem, lack of confidence, workplace stress, internal conflict and lack of direction.
  • Food related issues such as weight loss, anorexia and bulimia.
  • Relationship problems.
  • Overcoming unwanted habits and addictions.
  • Some clients find hypnotherapy /NLP has the side effect of helping to alleviate some physical conditions - they are not a treatment for illness, although they can lessen the severity of symptoms.

NEURO-LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING [NLP]

Our minds are amazing and beautifully organised. You can be curious about how well your mind works for you and realize that you do not have to be stuck with an attitude or way of behaving that does not serve you well.
    Moods can be changed,

    Depressed people can laugh again,

Overwhelming fears can be faced and overcome.

NLP is employed successfully in personal development using information about how the mind and body interact [Neuro]. Insight can be gained into a person's thinking through their use of language [Linguistic]. Thinking processes influence behavioural patterns [Programming]. The thinking and behavioural patterns or 'programmes' which people use in their daily lives can be changed, eliminated and new ones adopted.

"Many people consider seeking help is an act of self indulgence - I prefer to think of it as an act of kindness towards others; whose lives you may touch and of course... towards yourself."

I have a passion for supporting and helping people during periods of crisis/ vulnerability/ challenge and change. The techniques for helping individuals overcome difficulties are drawn from a wealth of skills from professional and life experiences. Currently I am also studying Contemporary Psychotherapy at post-graduate level.

Above all, I work from the heart, with compassion and genuine care.

If you feel anything here may help you work more effectively with and for yourself, I offer you an informal chat to help you decide with no obligation.
