My name is Anna and I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor and provide a counselling and psychotherapy service for individuals, couples and families in Paignton, and I also see clients in Exeter, Devon.
Whatever the problem you bring to counselling - whether it is to do with relationship issues, bereavement, stress management, alcohol or sometimes feeling anxious and depressed, or difficulties at work - I offer a wide range of skills and experience to help you find a new way forward.
Inner Desires Counselling Paignton also offers relaxation counselling.
I offer both short and long term therapy to clients of any faith or none, and a safe non judgemental empathic and confidential space for you to talk and to help you to identify, explore and make sense of feelings and experiences which have a negative impact on the quality of your life.
During my years as a counsellor I have worked in a GP practice, in private practice, and various counselling agencies one of which specialised in working with clients who had been bereaved. I have also had extensive experience of working with a range of issues including relationships, low self esteem, anxiety, depression, stress, anger, and unresolved issues from the past.
I hold a Diploma in Family and Relationship Counselling as well as other various short CPD courses to broaden my knowledge and improve my practice.
I am an Accredited Counsellor with CCC Membership 8610 and my work is carried out in accordance with the Ethical Guidelines and Practice of both CCC and BACP (of which I am an Associate Member). I receive regular supervision for my counselling.

About Me
Paignton Counsellor
I am a integrative counsellor, I draw upon the insights and techniques of different counselling therapies in a structured way. This enables me to offer you counselling that best suits you, rather than requiring you to adapt to a particular therapy or technique.
I offer counselling and psychotherapy both short and long term at reasonable cost. I am an Accredited Counsellor with CCC and an Associate Member of BACP and my work is bound by the Ethical Framework and practice of both CCC and BACP.
I work in a private practice in Exeter and I hold counselling in room 3 at Paignton Methodist Church (Palace Avenue) Paignton. I work independently from the church. I am also a volunteer with a local counselling organisation. I have experience of working with people who have suffered with depression, anxiety, bereavement, trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder, post - traumatic stress,
low self -esteem, relationship difficulties, work - related stress and family conflicts.
