SERVICES

Everything in the universe is made from vibrating particles and waves of energy.
The Quantum Physics is showing us that all matter consists atomic particles which are in constant motion. This motion generates measurable frequencies which then generates sound.

The ground that we stand on is not solid but consists of particles which vibrate at different frequencies, as well as our bodies, our organs etc . We are continuously being vibrated by audible and non-audible sound frequencies through the sounds we hear, the environments we move in, the people we encounter, all the living creatures we meet, the objects that surround us, the foods we eat, the thoughts we think etc

By directing our attention to the choices we make in life, what we resonate with and why, we can embark on a path of awareness, awakening and self-healing.

About - SYLVIA CANTINO

Italian by origin, a guest of Planet Earth by nature. In 2001 I left Milan and moved to England and I currently live in London.

I had an interest in Complementary Therapies for as long as I can remember and over 10 years ago I decided to take a more proactive approach and I qualified in a range of therapies.

In 1996 I enrolled in a 3 year training in Shiatsu Massage in Milan (Italy) where I qualified with Franco Bottalo (founder of Shiatsu-Xin College in Milan) in June 1999

I am a qualified Reiki practitioner since May 1997 (1st Level) and February 2001 (2nd Level)

In June 2008 I have completed the foundation training in Cranio-Sacral Therapy at the CCST (College of Cranio-Sacral Therapy) in London.

I am currently training in Sound Therapy at the British Association of Sound Therapy (BAST) with Liz Cooper.

The foundation of my practice lies on my dedication to a daily yoga practice, breathing exercises and experiential self-enquiry techniques supported by a committed vibrant living raw food diet.

Therapies

Cranio-sacral therapy

Cranio-Sacral Therapy is an exceptionally gentle and non-invasive yet extremely powerful form of treatment, increasingly recognized for the depth of its influence, the comprehensive range of its therapeutic effects, and its ability to resolve issues that are not helped by other means.

It is a ‘hands on’ therapy. For treatment, you will usually lie on a treatment couch – fully clothed – and experience the very light touch of the therapist’s hands. You may feel a deep sense of relaxation, and possibly become aware of heat, tingling, pulsations or other sensations. Treatment is usually experienced as a very profound relaxation which may pervade the whole person, physically, mentally and emotionally, often accompanied by a feeling of lightness and ease.

This extremely gentle therapy uses no manipulation.

It involves a very gentle touch of the practitioner’s hands, both for diagnosis and for treatment. This light contact may be taken up on the the head, the sacrum (the tail-bone) or any other part of the body as appropriate, identifying subtle disturbances to the free motion of body tissues, the free circulation of body fluids, and the unrestricted flow of fundamental energy, potency, or vitality – the Breath of Life.

It is important to realize that the therapist is not actually ‘doing’ anything to the client. The process is a partnership in which the therapist assists the body to find its own vitality and healing resource

Intuitive massage

Intuitive massage is a holistic full body massage that involves the use of different modalities of massage therapy to facilitate the release of energy blockages, mobilisation of limbs, release of muscular tension and to restore or balance the flow of energy within the body.

Treatments are customised to suit the client needs using a combination of massage styles including palm pressing, shiatsu, deep tissue massage, cranio-sacral techniques and Reiki. Some sessions may incorporate shamanic work, toning and the use of Himalayan singing bowls.

Increases vitality, circulation, relaxation, detoxification, body awareness and restore or balance the flow of energy within the body. Facilitates the release of energy blockages, mobilisation of limbs, release of muscular tension, decreases tension, stress, stiffness, pain, blockages, cramps and fatigue.

I find that using the different modalities in a session is very beneficial in shifting a person’s energy on all levels, affecting the mind, body, soul and spirit.

My understanding and approach towards the body work is one that is best serving the individual in its totality–mind, body, soul and spirit. I work with all four of these in mind, because my desire for each client is to facilitate for that person a better state of wellbeing and wholeness, leading to a new state of awareness, to a place of heart-centeredness.

Sound therapy

The gong master Don Conreaux says “It’s the sound of the universe that created the world. It penetrates the DNA, the cells of the body. The main area where we can reprogram ourselves, correct any imbalances. The gong can act as a fast track to super-consciousness or the state of holistic self-healing. Because of its inherent nature it can instill a unity of diversity consciousness to the listeners.”

Sound healing treatment

A sound healing treatment will last for around one hour. In the treatment you will lie on a massage couch while the practitioner sound over you. The practitioner will use their voice as well as musical instruments such as Himalayan singing bowls, crystal bowl, gongs and drums.

The practitioner uses a range of sounds to balance different areas of the body. At the end of the session there will be a period of silence to allow you to integrate the sound healing.

Sound applied therapeutically helps relax the system, allowing stress hormones to reduce, blood pressure and heart rate to drop.

Brainwaves may lower which can enable you to achieve an altered state of consciousness similar to that before sleep and when in meditation. In this state cellular regeneration and hormonal balance/changes can occur.

The practitioner will facilitate your therapeutic process through the reflection and enquiry of what is arising in the sound session.

The sound is a mirror through which you may see yourself more clearly, allowing for changes to occur.
