What Is Involved...
Hypnotherapy is simply a deep relaxation. Forget any TV programmes involving comical reactions, you are aware the whole time of what is being said to you. It works through your confidence in me.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT for short) are a simple, non-intrusive method of de-fusing the emotional aspects involved in stressful issues affecting our everyday lives.
Once learnt you can apply it in minutes and use it on a self-help basis whenever and wherever an emotional issue, fear and/or phobia occurs.
Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT for short) is also very simple. It is particularly helpful with post-traumatic stress situations and also when there are several complex issues causing stress and concerns.
Very often combining 2 or all 3 of the above therapies obtains the best results.
How Does It Work...
Every emotional upset ever experienced is stored in the subconscious, where there's no time scale. Every time that upset is recalled or something remotely similar occurs, the initial memory is triggered together with the initial emotional charge involved. This causes what is best described as an interference in the energy flow through the body – and creates negative reactions, either mentally, physically or both.
Neuro-scientists are now able to monitor these direct effects within the brain.
EFT and TAT access the energy flow routes (meridians). EFT will specifically name the issue, TAT does not need to, so in cases of acute trauma the latter may be more effective, at least initially. Through the techniques involved, tapping around the face and fingers, holding a (very simple) pose, alongside the deep relaxation of hypnotherapy, negative reactions can be cleared.
The body’s energy system then becomes better balanced. It’s like clearing a log blocking a stream and causing pollution to the surrounding environment – the log representing a stuck emotion causing issues and concerns, the pollution being the negatives in your life and environment. Once that log is cleared, the environmental damage can be repaired.
Very often, clearing just one major life issue of many creates a cascade effect – you can just enjoy the freedom and ability to move on and forward with your life.
Training & Life Coaching...
Trainer/Stress Management Consultant
I have worked in both secondary and adult education for 20 years. I hold a PGCE and have worked as a trainer for Relate, Blackpool and The Fylde College, Bay Housing and Blackpool Council, offering courses in Stress Management, Counselling Skills, Assertiveness, Rebuild your Life. Feedback has always been positive.
Through working on a one-to-one basis, issues that are holding you back – confidence, skills’ gap/s – can be addressed effectively. Results have been excellent: re-gradings; promotion; entry into the job market after lengthy time unemployed.
One-to-One: I have found that working in your own home creates better results. A quiet room is all that is needed. I cover the whole of the Fylde Coast area – and will work beyond but an extra charge for petrol would be incurred. A suitable time is agreed, usually late afternoon/evening. Weekends can also be available.
Online: I am in the process of setting up a PayPal account so that on-line therapy can be accessed, otherwise once a cheque has been cleared, sessions can take place.
First visit/on-line session: Up to 1 ½ hours’ duration is £50.
Subsequent sessions: 1 hour is £40.

Alice, 72 years old, was becoming more and more unwilling to go on holiday or socialise. This created problems as her husband wanted to visit overseas relatives and friends, see new places, before travel became more difficult through age. Exploration helped her understand that trauma around losing her mother when very young meant that she hated to be trapped or in an unknown place. 1 session of TAT cleared the fear, and EFT has sorted out any nervousness of flying, meeting new people. She feels ‘reborn’ and a month’s visit to their grandchildren in New Zealand proved ‘amazingly easy’.
Suzy couldn't drive on the motorway. She had no idea why – no accidents or negative reactions in the past, but would spend hours finding A and B roads. One session of EFT and she was happily driving on the M6 up to Scotland – saving time and petrol!
Jeremy’s back was excruciatingly painful and creating problems at work through the amount of absence. 2 sessions of EFT + hypnotherapy resulted in better posture and pain management – and less time off.
Sandy adored ice cream – ‘a love affair’ – which was affecting her weight and finances (£20 per week). TAT and EFT have cleared the addiction issues and she is now in control of ice cream – she can take it or leave it.
Mike sorted out his 40 cigarettes a day habit in one EFT session.
