About Me
When I first experienced a Reiki treatment I came away feeling very relaxed with a clear mind. It helped me to heal the stresses of life and allowed me to focus on what was important, leaving me with a sense of balance. I wanted to help others to experience this feeling so I decided to learn.
I’ve been a Reiki Master practitioner for over 4 years and I love providing treatments and seeing the positive changes it makes to my clients. Whilst Reiki can be enjoyed by anybody in the course of their day to day life, I particularly enjoy using it alongside other conventional or complementary treatments to provide emotional support during illness and recovery.
I’ve raised money for different charities over the last 4 years and I’ve recently attended specialist training in cancer care to make sure I'm adhering to guidelines, protocols and best practice. My aim, through Reiki, is to alleviate stress, reduce anxiety and help patients and carers cope better with their cancer and it’s treatment. Many healthcare professionals accept Reiki as a useful complementary therapy that may help to lower stress, promote relaxation and help to improve quality of life.
Reiki
Reiki is Japanese for “universal life energy” and also describes a “hands on” natural healing system. It’s a simple, relaxing therapy that helps to reduce stress and anxiety by releasing blocked energy. A reiki treatment feels like a wonderful warming radiance is flowing through and around you. Your body will relax and your natural healing process will kick in, helping to restore physical and emotional wellbeing.
Massage
Massage soothes and relaxes your body, providing relief from muscular tension and is a great way to the mind and body.
Indian head massage has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. Based on the ancient form of ayurvedic or “science of life” healing, it helps to release stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.
Seated Acupressure
Seated Acupressure is based on a traditional Japanese massage technique called “anma” which translates to “press and rub”. Using a sequence of movements, pressure is applied to over 60 acupressure points in your head, neck, shoulders and lower spine to stimulate nerve responses, release stress and muscle tension, helping to rebalance your mind and body.
Crystals
Crystals are placed on or around energy points on your body called chakras. They absorb, focus, direct and diffuse our energy fields to induce deep relaxation, release stress and promote energy balance. Crystal healing can be used to complement other treatments such as Reiki and massage.
