Welcome to Hands 4 Healing

I am dedicated to improving and maintaining the most important aspects of life: health in mind, body and soul. I am a fully qualified practitioner and have been practicing for over 15 years both privately and for the NHS. I have continued to further my knowledge through various professional, certified organizations.

From a purpose-built treatment room that offers complete privacy, I ensure that enough time is allowed so that you never feel rushed and thoroughly enjoy every part of your visit from start to finish. I offer an aftercare service so that I can be contacted if you are unsure about any part of the treatment that you have received.

Aromatherapy Massage

A deeply relaxing luxurious massage treatment using pure essential oils to aid well being and alleviate stress, anxiety and other health problems.

Aromatherapy is now used to treat a whole range of conditions and is believed to work on people both physically and psychologically.

I also specialise in IVF and women's health.

Body Massage

Pregnancy Massage

Do you feel stressed; have an aching back, swollen ankles or legs. Then try a massage that is designed for pregnant ladies. This is carried out while lying on your side or backvsupported by suitable cushions and pillows, and involves the massage of the back, legs, including lymph drainage for swellings, head, shoulder, arm and face massage.

The benefits include easing of muscles, as these tighten to accommodate the growth of the baby where massage can help to stretch the muscles and release tension. Skin will benefit from massage as it will remove toxins and excess fluid build up making it look healthier and clearer.

Reiki / Reiki Master & Teacher

At the end of the 19th century, a healing method was rediscovered in ancient Sanskrit texts by a Japanese scholar, Dr. Mikao Usui. He called this method Reiki, a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy (Rei - the cosmic, universal energy, Ki - the fundamental life force). Reiki is facilitated healing - the Reiki Master is not the healer, but provides a channel through which the healing energies flow to the recipient.

Reiki works on a variety of different levels and produces a deep purification effect on the mind, body, emotions and spirit.

I am keen to pass on my knowledge of Reiki as I have found it of immense benefit both to myself and clients. I hold Reiki 1, Reiki 2 and Reiki Master classes. I also hold Reiki share evenings - when you can come and feel the benefits for yourself or if you practice Reiki come and share this beautiful experience with others.

Reflexology

Reflexology is as old as civilization itself and can be traced back to ancient Egypt, China, Primitive Africa and the native tribes of America. It is a gentle art and an extremely popular and effective form of therapeutic foot therapy.

Reflexology works on the principle that reflex points in the hands and feet corresponds to every part of the body. Gentle pressure is applied to the feet to bring about a state of deep relaxation and to stimulate the body’s own healing process, helping to restore health and harmony to the body as a whole.

Hopi Ear Candling

Thermal Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear Candles) is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions. These ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes.

The candles are made from the natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, St Johns Wort, chamomile, beta-carotene and organically grown flax. A constant high quality is ensured. The candles work on a chimney principle, drawing any impurities to the surface where they can be gently removed.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head Massage is an ancient Hindu massage to the head; neck and shoulders, which is not only therapeutic and relaxing, but, with the use of certain oils, can also help to promote hair growth.
The massage can be from 30 to 45 minutes and induces a wonderful feeling of calmness and wellbeing. In this fast track, modern world we live in, we are looking more to the ancient ways of Indian health care, Ayurveda.

The idea of this system is for us to be more conscious of life and the Indian Head Massage is wonderful way to become aware of releasing tension and enjoying physical relaxation. Since this type of massage is said to improve nervous eyestrain, it may literally help you to see things more clearly.

Hot Stone Therapy

Hot Stone therapy is a complete mind body and soul treatment. The circulation and metabolism is stimulated, mentally the client is deeply relaxed and spiritually the client is balanced and healing takes place. Depending on the needs of each client, cold stones can also be used in isolated areas. The use of warm basalt stones applied to the body acts to relax the client at their deepest level.

This treatment can be given in several different ways, but one way is to being with you being wrapped in a towel and invited to lie down on several warm, smooth stones arranged and possible also covered with a towel, for your comfort. While the heat penetrated your body, you will be given a Swedish style massage, probably with aromatherapy oils. The stones should be hot and relaxing. Hot stones will be used to massage arms legs and back.

Thai Natural Facelift

This massage is a comprehensive mind and body treatment performed on the face, Head, neck and shoulders. This is carried out, while fully clothed, to release tension in the upper body, invigorating the face, leaving it lifted and supple. The upper respiratory function is stimulated giving sinus drainage and better local circulation for face and scalp.

Tension is lifted from the scalp. The complexion is improved, toxins are removed from the face, there is an improvement in facial wrinkles over time, and the emotions are balanced.

Thai Herb Compress Massage

This is a luxury 2 hour treatment with a combination of massage and the amazing aroma and detoxifying benefits of the herb compresses which are a mixture of herbs that work on all areas of the body. The massage is carried out fully clothed and is good for those who carry a lot of tension. This gives increased benefits to the upper respiratory tract and sinuses, better systemic circulation and the detoxifying benefits of the herbs can help with general fatigue.

It is ideal for clients who do not want to disrobe. The reflexes and energy work together with massage and is beneficial to the respiratory system through relaxation, better circulation and cell nutrition and better lymphatic elimination and immunity.

I am a fully qualified and insured animal complementary practitioner having completed a Diploma in Animal Healing with Elizabeth Whiter, at Sussex.

All animals benefit from healing, as it is helpful in a wide range of physical, emotional and psychological conditions. Healing is the channelling of healing energies through the healer to the recipient; it re-energises and relaxes the patient to enable his or her own natural resources to deal with illness or injury in the best possible way. Healing can be given for any illness, stress or injury as a therapy, which is completely natural, has no side effects and is complementary to other therapies.
