SIMPLY A BETTER WAY TO MOVE
Restoring a Horse’s Natural Movement & Balance

Look at your horse and answer the following questions;

Where does he push from when he moves?
Which has the best “energy absorbing” capacity back or front legs?
Which is most comfortable, supporting his spine in a neutral position or hollowed?

The answers provide a framework for the ideal way for a horse to move.

When we first sit on a horse his response is to drop away from our weight. His back hollows, he raises his head and neck with his weight on his front legs. The hind legs trail out behind him. The top line muscles become tense and sore.

Compare this to the picture created by your answers to the questions above. A horse’s initial reaction to carrying a rider is the opposite of the ideal framework. Sadly, unless it is corrected, it becomes his way of going for life or until he breaks-down or rebels.

Many problems, soft tissue damage, back problems, behavioural issues can be traced back to the pain caused by this un-natural movement. Conventional and natural therapies can help to alleviate symptoms but unless the underlying cause is correct the problem will re occur.

I work with horse & riders to restore a horse’s natural movement whilst under saddle. It is working on the cause of the problem rather than treating the symptoms. It is SIMPLY A BETTER WAY TO MOVE

REIKI PRACTITIONER
Bringing Peace and Wellbeing

Reiki pronounced Ray-Key is a combination of two words, Rei meaning universal and Ki meaning life force. It works on many levels; physical, mental and emotional

Reiki is safe and unobtrusive form of healing which can help with all conditions. However, it is especially useful in treating chronic conditions such as pain and in the relief of depression, anxiety and stress.

As a complimentary medicine Reiki promotes inner balance creating a sense of well- being and calm. It can be used in conjunction with conventional treatments or as a stand alone therapy.

Treatment is conducted whilst you are fully clothed. It is pain free

A Bit About Me

Ever since I was a child I have had a “Buzz” in my hands and been drawn to people or animals who are either sick or in distress. It was so normal for me that I assumed it was the same for everyone. As a little girl my father asked me to put my hands on his aching shoulders, our house filled with “lost” kittens and dogs. I spent hours out of doors fascinated by flowers and trees who always had a “personality,” I viewed the apple and pear trees in our garden as old friends.

It was in my late 20s that I began to come into contact with experienced healers and reiki practioners who were able to give my gift a structure and begin to teach me to used the energy I channel in a constructive way. Since qualifying as a Reiki practioners I have been blessed to work with some lovely people and been privileged to share some of the ups & downs in their lives.
