About Us
Frankie discovered the power and effectiveness of acupuncture after being successfully treated herself for a condition that conventional medicine had failed to remedy.

Inspired by this experience she studied acupuncture at the respected College of Integrated Chinese Medicine (CICM) in Reading, where she completed a full time degree course over three and a half years to obtain her BSc and licence to practice. She is also a member of the British Acupuncture Council.

Frankie is committed to attend regular post-graduate training courses at CICM and elsewhere to continue her professional and personal development and is presently studying Tui Na (Chinese massage therapy). She has also completed the Paul Adkins facial enhancement masterclass.

Frankie is trained as a Reiki Healer to Level 2 enabling her to integrate this where appropriate into her treatments. She also practices yoga and QiGong.

Frankie’s previous employment was fund-raising for a well-known charity in London and working as a PA to two comedy writers before stopping work to raise her young family. She lives near Cambridge and is married with three children.

About Acupuncture

Using subtle diagnostic techniques that have been developed and refined for centuries such as pulse taking, tongue examination among others, acupuncture seeks to focus on the individual as a whole, not the isolated symptoms of an individual's illness, and all manifested symptoms are seen in relation to each other.

Each patient is unique; two people with the same western diagnosis may well receive different acupuncture treatments. The underlying principle of treatment is that illness and pain occur when the body's qi, or vital energy, cannot flow freely causing "dis-ease".

Acupuncture can restore the body's natural balance.

What does a treatment involve ?

The first time I see you we will spend approximately an hour and a half with you.

Most of this time will be spent making a “Traditional Diagnosis” which involves asking you about both your current and past health, taking your pulses and looking at your tongue.

For more detailed information on what happens during your first appointment, please follow this link: Your first acupuncture treatment

Subsequent treatments will last approximately 45 minutes.

FEES

Initial appointment: £55
Subsequent treatments: £40
