What is a chiropodist/podiatrist?

A podiatrist/chiropodist is a healthcare professional who specializes in the treatment, prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of foot problems and lower limb problems related to the foot.
What is the difference between a chiropodist and podiatrist?

There is no difference between a chiropodist and podiatrist. The term podiatrist is the internationally recognised word, where as the word chiropodist was primarily used in the UK, however this is now changing. Practitioners who call themselves chiropodists and podiatrists must be registered with the Health Professionals Council.
