What is Nutritional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is a holistic approach to treating many of today's common conditions.

With our hectic lifestyles and modern day stresses it can seem difficult to achieve a healthy balanced diet for ourselves and our families.

Good nutrition is key to our mental and physical well-being. Making a few small dietary changes can go a long way to supporting good health.

My aim is to work with each client on a one to one basis to understand the root cause of the issues rather than just treating the symptoms, then agreeing manageable steps towards optimum health.

Is Nutritional Therapy for me?
Ever wondered why some diets work for some but not others? This is because our bio-chemical make up is unique. I will not just look at healthy eating, I will be working with you to determine what foods work for you as an individual and putting an individual, manageable plan in place and working with you every step of the way.

Services
Before our meeting you will be asked to keep a minimum 3 day food diary and complete an initial questionnaire.

First consultation - will last up to 1.5 hours. During this time we will discuss your background health, current symptoms and dietary choices before we can plan some manageable steps to improve your health.

Follow up consultations - will last up to 45 minutes. This is the time to discuss your progress and modify your plan and to understand what is working well and not so well for you.

The number of follow up consultations depends on your needs, this service is tailored to you. My goal is to ensure that you are able to make the necessary changes to your diet and lifestyle and that these changes can be maintained for the long term.

Menu ideas - Have you recently been diagnosed with a food intolerance and don't know how to replace certain foods to ensure you are still getting the required amount of nutrients? Or perhaps you need some tasty low fat meal suggestions for losing weight. Contact me for specific requirements.

Cooking tips and lessons - Understand what you should and shouldn't eat, but don't know how to cook meals from scratch? Contact me for specific requirements.

Mini Weight Loss Groups - Short on cash but want to get professional help, why not get together with a couple of friends in a similar situation to spread the cost. Be able to talk openly in front of friends rather than feeling uncomfortable in front of strangers.

Presentations - I also present in front of groups, so why not invite me along to your next group event or place of work.
