Whole Family Clinic

Fiona encourages consultations for all members of a family and friends network for a truly holistic approach to health care.

Group consultations are offered at a reduced price for up to four family members & close friends, including babies, children or adults.

The Whole Family Clinic is for 3-4 friends & family of any age, seen in a full morning, afternoon, or evening. Please email or contact Fiona prior to appointment with names and ages of all patients. Fiona will contact you prior to the consultation to discuss structure of appointment, so not all of group need to be present for the full consultation (approx. 3 hours).

Individuals that are part of a group may also consult independently if required.

About Fiona

Fiona is a Medical Herbalist registered with the National Institute of Medical Herbalists (NIMH), a body of herbal medicine practitioners demanding a high level of herbal knowledge, clinical medicine & diagnostic training, over 500 hours apprenticeship at student training clinics, a strong code of ethics, and professional accountability.

Fiona enjoys enhancing her training through continued professional development at herbal, nutritional and clinical medicine seminars and conferences, as well as further training in mind and body therapies to complement her herbal practice. She shares her passion for natural healthcare with patients of all ages, with special interests in preventative health, stress, palliative care and family healthcare.

Initially, Fiona became inspired by herbal medicine through an evening class she took while studying for an MA in Philosophy. She decided some years later to train in herbal medicine after travelling in Asia, North & Central America and Europe meeting traditional herbalists, experiencing herbal practice, and working with herbs in various locations.

Fiona has worked at Napiers Herbal Clinics & Dispensaries since 2004, advising patients on complementary therapies and natural healthcare, while completing her 4 year BSc at Edinburgh Napier University and gaining a first class honours in Herbal Medicine. She was accepted as a NIMH Member in 2009, when she was also awarded the Michael Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement.

In her free time, Fiona loves to spend time in nature, camping, travelling and taking long walks with her dog. She also enjoys cooking, yoga, meditation, reading, gardening and spending time with friends & family.

She currently runs Napiers Herbalists' Whole Family Herbal Clinics and Home Visit Herbal Medicine service, and is available for talks and workshops on request.

Fiona also runs courses, talks, herb walks, and workshops. Please visit the website for any current events in the Edinburgh area, contact Fiona to request a workshop, or add your name to the mailing list to be kept up to date with new happenings.
