Welcome to Felling Good Therapy

I offer a choice of reflexology, hypnotherapy and life counselling individually tailored for you and specialise in pain relief and control, particularly joint and back pain. Therapy is all about making you feel rebalanced within your mind, body and soul, and my aim is to ensure your treatment is relaxing and beneficial to you so that you can feel good everyday.

Therapy is there to be benefical and enjoyed by everyone. I have many years of experience of working with special needs young people and adults.

Life is there to be enjoyed and experienced to the full, so if those stresses and strains are getting too much or you are not feeling as fit and healthy as you would like there's no need to feel down - just remember there is always an alternative.

You'll never know unless you try Feeling Good.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a deep state of relaxation, during which time our subconscious mind becomes more receptive to new perspectives or ideas.

Is it safe?

It is perfectly safe, you are in control the whole time and nobody ever gets stuck in a hypnosis state. I cannot make you do anything you don’t want to do (it is different to stage hypnosis, you will not be clucking like a chicken). It is just like daydreaming.

What if I fall asleep?

Some people feel so relaxed they can fall asleep. This is fine you will still benefit from the suggestions as I can always bring you up to a more heightened awareness at any time.

What are the benefits to hypnotherapy?

Besides being very relaxing many people do not realise the health benefits of hypnotherapy.
    Sleep problems
    Anxiety
    Confidence issues
    Well being
    Post op recovery
    Skin conditions
    Changing negative behaviours or habits
    Controlling nausea
    Headaches/migraines
    Pain management
The great thing about hypnotherapy is you can learn and use the techniques in your own home.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a non invasive alternative therapy. Comfortable pressure is applied using the thumbs and fingers to the feet using a specific method and techniques

During the session you will be reclined with your feet raised slightly, it is designed to be a relaxing experience so comfort is a prime importance.

What is it for?

Predominantly it should be an enjoyable and relaxing experience. It has many benefits such as easing tension and helping with sleep.

I’ve heard it can help with health problems?

As a new client you will be asked to provide a medical history, this is also a chance for you to express any current health problems or concerns. Both feet are a map of reflex points that relate to areas across the whole body. During a normal session I will work over every point. Sometimes certain areas may feel tender to you or I may feel a build up of crystals when I work over the feet, this may indicate an imbalance relating to that area of the body.

Reflexology has never claimed to diagnose or cure. If over several sessions an area is recurrently showing to be imbalanced I may advise you seek medical advice or investigation.

What kind of health problems can be helped through Reflexology?

Any really. I would ask that pregnant women refrain from using reflexology purely as a precaution.
It is designed to have a rebalancing effect on the body, mind and soul and can offer significant relief from such problems as:
    Fertility problems
    Pain Management
    Digestive Disorders
    Circulation Problems
    Back Pain
    Sleep problems
    Skin Conditions
    Female health
    Headaches/Migraines
    Relaxation
    Sinus problems
Do you use anything on my feet?

I will use talcum powder as this allows me to travel over the feet at the right speed and pressure. I usually finish the session with some foot lotion applied through massage, should you not want this it is absolutely fine.

Back And Joint Pain

Back and joint pain can be a debilitating problem for many people, draining their energy and enjoyment of life. Often doctors just have no answers or solutions for it and can only resort to handing out pain killers, never reaching the root of the problem.

Having a back or joint pain can have a massive effect on your daily life not only physically but emotionally often bringing about feelings of sadness, tiredness and frustration to cope with as well.
Over the years I have seen and treated many people that have had their lives on hold because of joint or back pain. Breaking free from pain is like having a life sentence lifted from your life, allowing you to feel free and fulfilled again.

A lot of the time the source of the pain is not actually in the point of where the pain is felt. Therefore the key to relief is not to keep masking the true problem with pain killers but to find and treat the area which is the root cause of the pain. In treating the cause you can ease or irradiate the symptoms, resulting no more pain.

By using reflexology I can work over the feet covering the entire body, treating the person as a whole not just focusing on the area where the pain is felt. A problem in the body presents itself as a build of crystals or a feeling that is particularly sensitive area on the foot. Over a few sessions I will continue to pay particular attention to these points to clear the unbalanced area. If I feel an area is not rebalancing itself I may suggest you revisit the doctors and ask for further investigation.

Sometimes the symptoms you may experience, have a dramtic effect on your daily life. This is where hypnotherapy can help as an source of immediate relief. Hypnotherapy is used to retune your pain receptors to be less sensitive, turning down the symptoms to very low or nothing at all. I would normally recommend this therapy to someone who has a diagnosed problem and needing some relief or to a person in spasm or state of trauma.

With the combination of therapies I’m sure together we can find a solution tailored just for you. So if your life is on hold because of pain why not stop it today and try feeling good.

Counselling

Counselling is 1:1 time devoted to you. It usually involves talking and sharing of problems or issues you may be going through in your life.

What happens in a session?

I will allow you time to feel comfortable to share your story with me. No pressure or demands are placed upon you. My aim is for you to feel confident enough to speak honestly and openly with me so that together we can work through your problems, make plans, set targets and offer support to help you to reach your ultimate goal.

Who needs counselling?

Anyone can benefit from counselling at any point in their life. If you are having problems coping and are feeling unsure of how to move forward then talking and sharing often gives a form of relief and comfort. As a counsellor I am not there to direct or prescribe, I am there to walk beside you offering support and guidance where I can.

A person’s health and well being is what determines a happy and fulfilled life. As a holistic therapist I am here to support you in the best way suitable for you. If you so choose I can use a combination of therapies.

Remember there is always an alternative its down to you to choose it.

About your Practitioner

Zoe Copping

Ok so if you are going to trust me with your feet, subconscious mind or your problems you need to know a bit about me as a person. I am a middle aged fairly normal woman with a husband and children. I have been through life’s up’s and downs pretty much like everyone has.

My career in therapy started back in 1997. Since I was aged 11 I have suffered from IBS. I have been through more embarrassing examinations then I care to mention and let me tell you as a teenage girl this was not a problem you wanted to share with your friends! When I left home at the age of 20, I found the symptoms increasingly more challenging to cope with as well as the effects it was having on my confidence and daily life. Doctors said they could do no more and basically I was left to manage my symptoms alone. I read somewhere about reflexology and its health benefits and it listed IBS as something that would benefit from the treatment. I gave it a go and have never looked back. It changed my life, it was enjoyable (much better that a colonoscopy!), relaxing and it made me feel good. I couldn’t believe how such a simple thing as foot massage could be so beneficial and I wanted to know more, I wanted to learn the skills and help other people suffering with health problems, I wanted them to feel as good as I did.

I trained for 1 year with Ann Gillanders at the British School of Reflexology, an inspirational teacher as well as a hard task master. The course was more in depth that I could have imagined, teaching me about the whole body, how it works, the problems that can arise and why and how through reflexology I can help. I loved it and was overwhelmed when I passed.

Over the years I have seen and treated so many ailments, pains and problems. I have had some fantastic success stories especially with infertility and pain management, something I am particularly interested in.

A few years on and I decided to add some more strings to my bow and trained to be a Hypnotherapist. Hypnotherapy has been a fascinating learning experience for me. I decided i wanted to use hypnotherapy as another way to help people manage their health and well being, to work alongside my work as a reflexologist.

To me being a therapist is not just about treating a physical sypmtoms, quite often a physical problem can have an effect on a person emotionally, sometimes restricting their recovery and progress towards a fullfilled life. That realisation is what inspired me to learn the skills of counselling. I enjoy people and listening to their stories and understand that to be a true holistic therapist supporting someone emotionally is such an important part of making therapy beneficial.

I completed a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Cambridge College in 2010 which I can only say from experience has helped me become the best therapist I can be.

I am continuing to evolve and am always looking for new therapies that can work alongside the skills I have already, at the moment I am exploring the use of colour therapy.

So this is me and my story. I would love to hear yours and see if I can help you live your life to the full.
