Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem TM is a unique and relatively new form of holistic therapy that was researched and created by Lone Sorensen about 30 years ago.

Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem TM combines Chinese acupuncture points, energy meridians, South American and Vietnamese facial maps, with modern western nerve maps of the face derived from the study of neuro-anatomy. This combination helps me to identify health imbalances and provides a series of tools to use within a treatment to help your body to rebalance itself.

Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem TM combines looking good with feeling good. The entire surface of the face (except the eyelids) is stimulated so that:

• Blood flow improves
• Muscle tone improves
• Nerve function improves
• Lymphatic drainage improves

Treatments last for one hour, although the initial consultation may take longer. Before a treatment you should be aware that:

• All make up will be removed, so you should bring supplies if you wish to reapply after the treatment.
• You will be given a disposable headband to wear, but a small amount of cream may get into your hair.

The International Institute of Reflexology (IIR) is the only school licensed to teach the Original Ingham Method of Reflexology. This was developed by Eunice Ingham in the 1930s whilst working as a Physiotherapist in the USA.

It is based on the principle that there are reflex points on the feet that correspond to every organ, gland and part of the body. For example, the toes represent the head and the heel of the foot corresponds to the pelvic region.

Before your first treatment, you will be asked to complete a health, diet and lifestyle consultation.
The treatment starts with some general relaxation, followed by a precise thumb and finger walking technique which covers both the top and the bottom of both feet.

Reflexology is not ticklish as a firm pressure is used. If a particular part of the body is out of balance, the corresponding reflex may feel tender or sore during the treatment. It is important that you let me know so I can adapt the treatment to suit you. Generally people describe any areas of tenderness as a ‘sweet pain’ which is both bearable and beneficial.

A full foot reflexology treatment will generally last 1 hour.

Reflexology is a therapeutic treatment which can help:-

• Reduce Stress
• Back Pain
• Hormone Imbalances
• Digestive Disorders
• Sports Injuries
• Sleep Disorders
• Migraine
• Improve Circulation
