About Me
My name is Jennifer Logue and with a background in Nutrition, I have always had an interest in health and well being. I went on to qualify as an aromatherapist from the Institute of Traditional Herbal Medicine and Aromatherapy in London, training with world renowned Gabriel Mojay and Rhiannon Harris. I am a member of IFPA (The International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists) and am fully insured through them.
I was trained in aromatherapy from a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective and work on the basis of balancing the 5 elements within. I am based in Rayleigh, Essex and offer relaxing aromatherapy treatments in a comfortable environment away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils, made naturally by aromatic plants; their essence, to balance the body and mind. The most common use of essential oils is through massage, by combining the essential oils with carrier oils. The process of massage helps with the absorption of the oils through the skin, and around the body in the blood stream. The essential oils also enter the body through inhalation, and have a direct action on the nervous system and the part of the brain controlling the memory and emotions. Essential oils can also be used to aid healing through topical application in the form of creams and ointments.

The essential oils, with the aid of massage, help to reduce pain and tension in the body, releasing knots in the muscles and reducing stress. It also helps reduce blood pressure and boost circulation, removing toxins from the body, and promoting a feeling of well being.
What is Indian Head Massage?
It is a massage treatment that has evolved from India, with origins in a type of ancient medicine called Ayurveda. The upper back, shoulders, upper arms, neck, face and scalp are treated, which is typically where stress affects the body most, and so a treatment can bring immediate relief. The body's circulation and lymphatic system are boosted, removing the toxins from the tensed muscles and so promotes relaxation, relieves anxiety and improves movement. By providing additional oxygen to the brain it can help release emotional stress and improve concentration.

Clients should arrive 10 minutes before their treatment time and preferably be wearing minimal make-up, no perfume, have recently showered or bathed to moisturise the skin and open the pores, and avoid applying heavy creams. This aids in the use of oils in the treatment.
A 15 minute consultation is conducted at the start of your first treatment, with regard to medical history and general health, which is necessary for safe and effective treatments. This time is added onto your first treatment but is included in the price.
Client details taken are kept confidential in accordance with legislation.
Children from the age of 5 can be seen also.
Men are welcome but please appreciate that I am a professional therapist.
