ABOUT ME
My name is Debbie Arrigon and this is my webpage/blog. I studied my degree in Naturopathy at the University of Westminster and graduated with a BSc Health Sciences: Complementary Therapies-Naturopathy pathway in 2006. I decided to study naturopathy after working in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor and wanting there to be a more holistic approach to health and fitness.
I also gained my Diploma in Iridolgy and Diploma in Massage at the University of Westminster.
Health and well-being is my passion, and naturopathy is, in my opinion, one of the most holistic forms of medicine. I try to live my life by naturopathic principles, however I am not perfect and I must confess I do like my occassional starbucks ice latte!! My motto is all in moderation and the aim of my webpage is to help inform and perhaps inspire you to live a healthy lifestyle. I am hoping to make this webpage a one stop shop for Naturopathy.
I am a Corporate health and well-being consultant for a well-known travel company and also practise privately as a naturopath in a clinic in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, UK. I also work on a NHS Child Obesity Scheme. I am a budding naturopathic writer and aiming to publicise naturopathy a bit more.

What can Naturopathy help with?
Naturopathy can help with many complaints and illnesses, for instance:- Skin complaints e.g. acne, eczema, psorisis, re-ocurring rashes, itchy and dry skin.
- Digestive complaints: crohns disease, ulcerative colitis, IBS, constipation.
- Diabetes and blood sugar levels
- Gynaecological complaints e.g. fibroids, PMS, menstruation problems/painful periods, mood swings.
- Weight loss, weight gain, weight management and energy levels
- Naturopathy can also be used for general maintanence and preventative medicine. Why wait until you’re ill to make healthy changes?
In Traditional Medicine, naturopathy is used as a health and wellness MOT. Which our bodies, mind and spirit all deserve.
What is a Naturopathic Appointment or Consultation?
At your inital consultation, we will discuss your health complaint, main aim for seeking treatment, you and your immediate family’s medical history, medication, supplements etc. I will also ask you in-depth questions about your current diet, exercise (or lack of) habits, stress levels and emotional well-being. These all help me with designing a personalised treatment plan for you.
I will prescribe natural remedies or treatments based on what you have told me and other diagnostic tools. Such as your blood pressure and I also use Iridology (the study of the eyes’ Iris) to help form an overall view of your health and, how we together, can make improvements.
After your inital treatment, I will design a treatment plan for you, this may be focussed on improving your diet, helping your body gently detox and re-learning how to relax. This treatment plan is included in the price of your consultation.
What is a typical treatment or follow-up?
My treatments are based on home-remedies and natural health. Such as flower remedies
I also use poultices, packs, compresses, for instance hot or cold water compresses, mustard poultices and I often presribe certain baths (mustard powder, oils, epsom salts etc).
My treatments almost always cover nutrition, as many of us need information, help and guidance in this area. Meal plans, recipe ideas and gentle detox programmes (perhaps avoiding certain foods) are often recommended.
What if I can’t get to your Naturopathic clinic in Berkhamsted?
I understand that in this busy world, sometimes a 90 minute in-person consultation isn’t possible, so I also offer phone or Skype consultations.

Follow-up (45-60 minutes) £40
