I am an experienced humanistic counsellor offering one-to-one counselling in central London. I offer both short and long-term counselling in English and Spanish. I hold an Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (MBACP) and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I follow the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I have a wide-ranging experience with lots of different types of people and issues. In particular I have worked quite extensively with people dealing with issues connected to sexual abuse, co-dependency, illness and addictions e.g. sex and love, alcohol, drugs.

One of my particular areas of expertise is working with childhood issues and inner emotional wounds. These often manifest as low self esteem, low confidence, self-harm, addictions and depression. I am able to provide a safe space to enable clients to confront and address issues head on, enabling them to grow and discover a life free of the bonds of the past.

How I work

I focus on self-development, growth and responsibilities. I seek to help individuals recognise their strength, creativity and choices.

Sometimes, counselling can help you with a particular issue such as illness, bereavement, unemployment, difficult relationships or any one of the many problems life throws at us. Others realise they have problems with a deeper root. Indeed, many of our painful feelings began in the past and have become hidden over the years. These feelings can be confusing because we often don’t realise that the unhappiness we feel in the present is triggered by something we felt in the past. But if we pretend things ‘never happened’ it doesn’t mean that our feelings will just disappear. Working with problems in the ‘here and now’ helps us to identify patterns of behaviour which often began in childhood or adolescence. Counselling offers us a safe place where we can open up to our true selves and begin to change.
