About Me

My name is Andy East, and I'm running a mobile holistic massage service based in the Cheam area. Outcalls only, so you can have a relaxing, refreshing healing treatment in the comfort of your own home, and then stay warm without having to scrape down your car and travel home in the freezing weather afterwards!

I have been a massage enthusiast for over 20 years, particularly since suffering a back injury in 1995. I've experienced osteopathy, physiotherapy and chiropractic treatment, and I've regularly used massages to relieve aches & pains and to relax and unwind.

All treatments are individually tailored to suit each person, according to their immediate and ongoing needs; but if there’s a particular ‘type’ of treatment I specialise in, I would classify it as an unhurried, medium-to-firm pressure massage which is intended to help the body relax as much as possible and allow the various systems to get on with rest, healing and repair.

The amount of pressure I use can of course vary depending on your preference, so I ask all my clients to let me know before and during the session if you want a particular depth of massage.

Holistic Massage

The Holistic approach (from the Greek holos, meaning whole, entire), aims to treat the body, mind and spirit, by finding the root causes of illness or discomfort and using a combination of hands-on techniques to alleviate them throughout the body, from head to toe.

Everyone has a different relationship with, and reaction to, the world around them. Although the human body is designed to protect itself against harmful external forces, the build up of stress and illness over time can make it very hard for the body to perform its essential healing tasks.

Treatments such as chiropractic and osteopathy can be extremely effective in dealing with the source of pain; but holistic therapy focuses on all related factors, such as diet, work, health & family history, stress & tension, sleep patterns and exercise, among others.

Massage stimulates blood flow, boosting circulation and helping to move blood to the parts of the body where it's most needed. The nutrients and oxygen it brings, plus the toxins and waste materials removed, all combine to leave your muscles and joints in a healthier condition than before the treatment.

As well as muscular and skeletal issues, massage is extremely beneficial for the treatment of systemic problems such as stress, depression, anxiety attacks, exam nerves, insomnia, hypertension, digestive problems (including IBS) and many other conditions.

But massage isn’t just for treating problems; its preventative properties are well known, and in many cases the happiest clients I treat are those who just need to unwind for an hour and let their minds and bodies ‘reset’.

Testimonials

The minute you walk in to the treatment room, you feel immediately relaxed, as Andy is a very chilled out person! I have received several massages over the years, and have to say that his rate among the best. Andy takes pains to make sure you are warm enough, the gentle music is just right for you and that the pressure he is using during the treatment, right for you. The massage itself is blissful and by the time you are finished, you feel very very relaxed, in fact I find it hard to get off of the treatment table afterwards, although you are given plenty of time to 'come round' after. Overall I would highly recommend Caversham Holistic Massage to anyone who is looking for time out for the fast, noisy and sometimes overwhelming pace of life.

I have been to Caversham Holistic Massage several times now. It has helped me a lot. I have problems sleeping and suffer with back problems. I am now able to sleep better than I did before and my back is a lot more relaxed. I think you really get very good value for money for the service you get from them. I would recommend them any one who needs help or even just a massage to relaxe. Thank you.
