COURSES / WORKSHOPS

UK

The pressure of modern life is so intense that it often leaves us out of connection with ourselves, others and our environment. This disconnection leaves our souls languishing with no meeting point. The multi-layered magic of our world escapes us. This workshop offers a process of slowing down so that we can reveal some of the energetic and psychological defences that isolate us. Through group meditative practices and reflections, we explore the world of the subtle senses, and through it find a deeper connection with our souls.

Hungary

We offer self-development, recreational and health retreats for restoration and relaxation, and a rich and evolving programme of educational retreats and training.

You may wish simply to come and relax, restore, and experience at first hand some of the practices of the East West Sanctuary. It is an opportunity to de-tox, explore the countryside, and feel connected with others at the same time as learning practices for self-development and transformation. Many of these retreats include a visit to the famous spa baths and a massage. You need no prior experience, simply come and enjoy. Although relaxing and easy, many people go away and make some positive changes to their lives.

Or you may prefer to follow an educational and vocational programme in either sustainable business or healing.

For those wishing to gain an EWS certificate in holonomic practice, which gives a deepened membership of the community, you can choose to attend three events, one of which must include one of the educational retreats. In addition, we also run from time to time a foundation training in Buddhist theory and practice and a foundation training in contemplative psychotherapy, which also lead to an EWS certificate.

For those simply wishing to relax, we also offer East West Light, where you can come and be nurtured, and also visit some of the local countryside, and learn first hand about local Hungarian traditions.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

Psychotherapy can be a transformative process, helping us re-connect to our universe. It opens up a space for finding out how we come into relationship - and how we avoid it. Here we can find a moment to listen to ourselves, to our ancestors, to our universe. We work with whatever arises: the body, the emotions, subtle and archetypal energies.

I am also a spiritual teacher, and consider psychotherapy as one aspect of the spiritual path.

Lost are the communities of the past, wherein individuals were connected with their souls, with one another, and with the earth and sky above. We have forgotten how to connect to the wisdom held in our bodies and hearts and become isolated, leading to depression, anxiety, anger, numbness, or addiction.

I practise from Waterbeach near Cambridge. Sessions are confidential, tend to be weekly and last for one hour. The first session is free of charge. Sessions are currently offered at £45.00. Shorter periods of spiritual training are also available.

If you would like in depth therapeutic work, I offer regular workshops, retreats and training in the UK and Hungary. Visit the website for more information:www.eastwestsanctuary.com

I am a United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapists accredited therapist and I abide by their code of ethics and conduct.

My specialities as a therapist are:

  • Trauma

  • Gender issues

  • Ancestral healing

  • Spiritual emergency
This can help with: anxiety, depression, spiritual problems, relationship issues, anger issues.

MEDITATION

Going for Refuge
The moon cutting
A snow-capped mountain
The silent stillness of a midnight pool
Noting the pebble drop
Opening the depths of our being
Sharing its pain and joy

WRITING AND RESEARCH

My path as a writer seeks out those fundamental layers that interconnect and shift between themselves, as a river flows through its depths and heights, its frivolous sparkling on the surface, and the untapped depths of the earth below. Re-searching is to look for the hidden richness that lies in our shadows, and contributing to the co-emergence of a more ethical and peaceful world.

I am the Director of the Centre of Communication and Ethics in International Business at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge U.K., where I lead a team of researchers and organisational practitioners in examining the conditions of organisational life. The work in the Centre is dedicated to improving these conditions, through exploration of the nature of research itself and through applied methods in attempting to create harmonious methods of dialogue. Our work is about attempting to make connections across disciplines, paradigms and countries and play a part in the coming into being of a different world view.

I am editor of Interconnections, a journal of international management practice.

  • Practices

  • Workshops on reflective and embodied dialogue
  • Cross-disciplinary workshops on new forms of inquiry

  • Workshops on sustainable business
