About me

I offer an integrative approach using psychosynthesis modality, behavioural and psychodynamic tools.

I offer daytime and evening sessions; Monday to Friday.
I invite initial telephone conversation to answer any queries.

I have lived and enjoyed the rich experiences of both the East and West and have great appreciation of different cultures and family roots. Having worked in the care of people throughout my career in nursing, counselling and psychotherapy, I am interested in the uniqueness of a person, individual concerns and aspirations.

My approach

My approach is caring, sensitive yet incisive, always holding the well-being and safety of the individual foremost.

I use my time with an individual to evaluate their needs, hear their issues and support their anxieties. My aim is always to give the individual a safe space in which to explore their issues and face their difficulties.

I am sensitive to the links between physical and psychological health and how they relate to each other.

Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy and therapeutic counselling (my original training) focuses on the potential of the individual as well as the past and present, helping to realise their true worth.

Psychosynthesis offers an approach to see the person as a whole with choices and not just someone with presenting diagnosis and symptoms.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis and qualified as a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapist and therapeutic Psychosynthesis Counsellor.

I have additional qualifications as a registered nurse and have an extensive working experience and knowledge in general and mental health care and well-being.

I am registered and accredited with UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).

I am a member of APP (Association of Psychospiritual Psychotherapists.

My work is rooted in working with people who are suffering from low mood and low energy which is affecting their personal and work life, depression, generalised anxiety, bereavement, fear and anxiety due to losses, relationship issues, emotional conflicts, confusion and lack of direction, ageing issues and challenges, longings for acceptance, identity concerns, adjustment difficulties at work and personal life and stress at work.

Due to my background in general and mental health nursing, I can also offer therapeutic space to explore and understand how physical and medical conditions is affecting one's emotions and in managing day to day life and relationships.

Psychotherapy/Counselling Therapy

Most times people can manage difficulties by talking to friends and loved ones. Some issues related to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, losses and job stressors can benefit from talking to someone trained in psychological processes, in a confidential and protected space.

Psychosynthesis Modality

Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy offers an approach to see the person as a whole with choices and potential and not just someone with presenting diagnosis and symptoms.

Bathma offers an integrative approach using psychosynthesis modality, interpersonal, systemic, behavioral and psychodynamic tools.

Therapy Process

The weekly and hourly sessions can help to understand difficult feelings and experiences by talking mindfully and with care. The aim is to develop existing inner resources and awareness, to learn to make choices and resolve difficulties, to go beyond blame and build meaningful relationships at home and at work whilst being compassionate and patient during the exploration of the psychological processes.
