Can Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine help me?
Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy are appropriate for most of the conditions
for which you would visit your GP.
No two patients are alike even though they may display similar symptoms, so Amanda will discuss and draw up an individual treatment plan with you. Most importantly herbal medicine and naturopathy treat the underlying imbalances in your body to encourage and facilitate healing, and do not just treat the symptoms.
About the consultation
Typically your first consultation will last about an hour, during which a detailed history will be taken in order to assess your overall health, and look at the underlying causes of any health problems. Follow up consultations are of shorter duration and usually every two to three weeks.
About your therapist
Following a fifteen year career in administration and project management, Amanda embarked on a change of career, which was strongly influenced by a personal experience of Naturopathy.
She attended the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Manchester and following her qualification studied for three years at the University of Central Lancashire, where she gained a first class honours degree in herbal medicine.
Amanda practices herbal medicine and naturopathy in Cumbria and North Yorkshire.
